KEN T : Are these sized exactly the same as the previous version of the same boot? I would normally wear 13 or 14, but for that boot, 12 is the right size.Ken T : Yes, I ordered a pair, and sizing is exactly the same as before.Mario C : Had no information on that yet. I have tried 9 and they are to tight and 10's are to lose.Ken T : I suggest you weal dive socks, or perhaps thicker ones, like neoprene, if you are not already doing so. Remember that few people actually walk very much in dive boots, and the important part is how they feel whilst wearing dive fins. My feet are not equally sized, so I buy for the larger one. The extra room in the other boot has never been a problem.Mario C : no half sizes on most boots ( not aware of any that is) recommend trying a different brand or model since there are always small differences that can make a big difference : )

Mares dive boot sizing?

Just received the Flexa boots, and quality appears high, if a little big in the heel. They fit perfectly to my Mares fins. However, as other reviewers have also noted, Mares boots run big. Previously ordered Mares classic boots in my street size (US 12) and even with 2mm neoprene socks on they were too big. This time i ordered the Flexa in US 11 and they fit fine. Sizing mystery may be solved when i looked at the tag on the boots. The brown cardboard tag attached has a sizing chart on it for US/EU/Japan sizes, size US11 circled in my case. However, there was also a Mares barcode sticker on this tag, which read UK11. A UK size 11 equals a US size 11.5, which likely explains the oversizing issue, suggesting the sizing is actually UK and not US. Thought this might be helpful to prevent some returns. Hopefully these will be 5 star boots when i get in the water with them.

Fantastic boots compared to what I had.

I had to return 1st set due to being too small. 2nd set is fantastic. Walking across stone and pinecones doesn't hurt like the other pair I have. boots look great and wear great. Received the 2nd set super fast so I hardly missed sending the first set back. Have had no problems working with Leisure Pro.

Looking for a pair of Boots that are designed for the needs of the serious diver? Mares' Flexa DS 5mm Dive Boots are made from durable nylon-2 neoprene with a hard rubber sole to ensure grip on rocky and slippery surfaces. The strong zipper closure allows easy donning and doffing and prevents water entry. The Flexa DS 5mm Boots have an exclusive sole design that features a system of drainage grooves (DS) Draining System, which prevent the suction effect between boot and foot pocket which is common in other dive boots.

This unique feature makes donning and doffing of fins to becomes much easier. The extremely durable and comfortable sole design make these boots ideal for those who must cover large distances on foot to the dive site. All the standard features you are accustom to in Mares rubber goods are also part of this unique boots design. All seams are double glued and double blind-stitched for strength and durability. The rugged PK #10-zipper closure makes donning and doffing the boots easy. Boots have vulcanized rubber toe and heel caps to protect these high wear areas. The boot comes equipped with a fin strap lug, which keeps your fin strap in place regardless of depth and suit compression. Boots are black in color and available in multiple sizes.
