J.W. Fisher VRM-2 HD Recorder/Monitor

High resolution display with built-in DVR. The VRM-2 HD is the 3rd generation recording system designed to complement all JW Fisher video platforms with LED lighting and new HD picture quality (see SKU: JWFTOV2 TOV-2 HD Towed Video). The VRM-2 HD is a high definition video monitor with a built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR). The new HD system displays and records in 1080p HD format. The DVR has a removable 64GB SD memory card included; however, any capacity USB stick can be used. Recording time on a 64 GB card is approximately 12 hours when using the highest quality frame rate of 30 fps (frames per second). Using a lower frame rate allows longer recording times, but the video will not be as smooth, however the quality of still images will be the same. The VRM-2 has a built-in 10.4" (26.4cm) flat screen ultra-bright high-resolution display which makes it easy to see even on sunny days.

The built-in DVR recorder is operated via a waterproof, touch keypad. A new feature of still picture capturing is easily used and provides the end user with more functionality not offered before. Time and date stamps are also recorded and text overlay is possible with the addition of an included waterproof, USB keyboard. Also included is a microphone that allows the topside viewer to record vocal notes while video is being recorded.

The VRM-2 HD captures and records analog HD video (AHD, HD-TVI or HD-CVI) and stereo audio to USB storage media and can capture JPEG images on-the-fly without interrupting stream recording. It provides live/recorded video and JPEG snapshots simultaneously to be displayed on the LCD screen. The video can be played back on the VRM-2 HD's monitor or a second monitor and the files can be transferred to a PC. When recording, a time and date stamp is recorded with the video. When the video is played back, the time and date of recording is displayed on the monitor. With the optional GPS input jack, the boat's GPS is displayed and recorded. The VRM-2 HD control panel operates the complete system including the cameras and lights. The system also includes power and control for JW Fishers complete line of underwater video equipment.

The control box measures (L x W x H) 17 x 11 x 8.5" (43.2 x 28 x 21.6cm) and weights 24 lbs (10.9kg). Powered by 100-240 vac allowing unlimited operating time. Recording format MP4 H.264. Recording frame rate - 30 fps. Older model VRM's CANNOT be upgraded to HD technology due to the multiple hardware and software modifications.
