This sheds a decent beam and is small enough to take on every dive in a BC pocket for nook and cranny investigation. It is an adequate back-up for night dives. My only knock is the goofy connection of the lens housing to the body which must be removed to change the AA batteries. It's often hard to disconnect.

Bought this light as a small backup that I could keep in my BCD pocket. I went on a night dive in Roatan and was issued a light by the shop. After a few minutes I switched to this one and it was so much brighter than any light in the group. I'm gonna buy another!

I bought this light as a back-up for my son (12) to use during our first open ocean night dives. We were using travel BC's with no pockets, so the size made it easy to clip on a D ring. Would also easily fit in a BC pocket. There is not a battery polarity schematic on the light (at least I couldn't find one), so you have to figure out how the batteries insert, unless you keep the paper manual with you. I'll probably mark it + and - inside to make it easier to load in a hurry. I doubt that the light will last long on 4 AAs, but for back-up use, it would allow you to safely complete a dive and surface. Batteries were included with the light we received.

Great little light. I love it for traveling tropical due to its small size and nice beam output. It could be a little brighter, but for the price it works well.

I carry this light with me on all dives. It is great for pointing out fish or interesting items to other divers. The light beam is so bright it outshines all other brands I have seen so far. I liked it so much and the cost was so reasonable that I bought two, just to have a backup...
