I think that a boot or water shoe with a bit of a higher top may benefit you :)PAUL P : Anything and everything will track sand. If you are talking about not having sand on your foot, they will insulate you foot, but when you take them off the sand of the bottom of the boot will still dislodge. It sounds like you might be looking for more of a water-shoe. I use these scuba diving in warm water, beach diving. They are perfect for rocky entry.

Little rubber boots

Ordered one pair, then ordered another pair for me and 3 other pairs for family. True to size, maybe a tad big, easy on/off.

Very well built and solid design on back of heel makes them very durable.

I am using these with a pair of Oceanic dive fins to swim labs at the local pool. The fin straps destroyed my first two pairs of more expensive high top zip up booties very quickly. These Henderson booties are designed with a solid back at the heel that holds the fin straps in place so they do not damage the booties. They are very tough. I swim 1 hour every morning and every afternoon so they have to be tough to last. Love them!

Thermoprene is crafted from a high-quality neoprene and a low pill fabric. It has 75% more stretch than standard neoprene, so while it is not as flexible as Henderson's Thermoprene Pro or TherMAXX lines of products, it still boasts significant comfort characteristics. The 1801/2 stretch Thermoprene is noticeably easy to don, pulling over the feet with less huff and puff than standard boots. Also, the fabric's exterior stands up extremely well to the wear of fin straps and foot pockets with its pill/abrasion-resistant exterior laminate. The Henderson Thermoprene Unisex Low-Top 3mm Boot has a durable traction sole, glued and sewn seams, heavy duty abrasion resistant thread, and a puncture resistant sole. Boots are black in color and available in multiple sizes.
