Questions & Answers

Shopper : Can i thread on a dry suit QD fitting on this? I'm not sure if the threads for regulators and drysuit valves are the same.Mario C : thank you for your question, and answer. As John said depends on the fitting you are looking at. one item that may help you follows in the link: https://www.leisurepro.com/p-xssezqda/xs-scuba-ac900-ez-qd-adapter?origterm=ac900&searchredirect=trueR J : It would depend on the fitting, I am not sure which QD fitting you are looking at. The standard regulator fitting is a 9/16"-18 female UNF. If your QD fitting has that thread size, it will fit.
Earl A : Divers Alert Network (DAN)reported in 2017 that flex hoses with a central tube made of thermoplastic polyester-polyurethane (polyester-TPU) are prone to failure due to crystallization of the tube material. The inner tube itself breaks apart into small pieces and can clog the regulator's second stage. According to DAN, hoses made with a thermoplastic polyether-polyurethane (polyether-TPU) did not fail. Precipitating causes were exposure to normal outdoor summer heat and high humidity. What are these hoses made of?Mario C : thank you for your question. I spoke to Hollis and their answer confirms what i had in mind: "Hollis ( hoses) have had none of the issues reported from the max-flex hoses. We use a different brand made of a non-deteriorating material. "
Shopper : will this hose fit my oceanic delta 4reg?R J : Most likely. It uses the US standard regulator hose thread. We've put them on a wide variety of regulators from different manufacturers.Raymond Z : yes
WILSON W : Is this the correct hose for a ocianic island 2 bcd with alpha 9 reg? If so what length should it be?JOE S : If you are looking for a power inflator hose, it should be about 16 to 18 inches, depending on your size and the BC size. This is a second stage regulator hose and will not connect to the power inflator. If you are looking for a second stage regulator hose, then it will work. The standard is 24 to 28 inches. Again depending on your size. a hose too long for you will try to push the regulator out of your mouth. A too short hose will try to pull the regulator out.TERRY G : should work, an about 24 inches
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?PERRY B : Left side mount reg hose is 2" too short causing reg to pull to the right.RICHARD W : Because I need a 32" hose for my side mount.

...a fine hose

..these new max or myflex hoses are better. I see some divers that have replaced all of their hoses with these. For us,right now just the regulaor hose..more flexible, light weight etc. Now, we will se how the stand the test of time!!. I.E. induance , hard use etc.
