Jon R : How does the Hollis Stainless Back Plate install into the Hollis HTS 2 Rig? I already have the plate and want to use it instead of weights with the rig. Thanks.HOWARD K : The backplate should be fastened with stainless steel assembly screws... the ones with male/female mating sections. The more the merrier to insure rigidity. Remember you need to secure the wing also.. maybe with some shared screws. Tank strap setup depends on tank type and your desire for multiple strap security. Lots of screws also helps streamlining rig. Also possible to use stabilising bars for rigidity. I've got to admit the whole setup does not prevent a bit of tank wobble compared to my old Oceanic ChuteGEOFFREY S : If I recall are used stainless steel book screws to secure the back plate to that rag. Back plate was not required with that system. It's been along time since I had that system. Hope this helps.
Shopper : How long is the torso Part on the xl model? I'm a commercial diver and I wear a miller heavy belt. I just want to throw a aluminum 80 on it and goVictor Z : I have L, down the middle of the back section, it is 19 1/4 inch from the collar (where the Hollis lable is attached) to the crotch strap d-ring attachment. weight belt gets in the way unless you wear it on your hips. i had a back plate made with 6 integrated weight pockets that fits between the harness and the wing, works great can't dump the weights though. gotta try it on to see if this works for you with the belt, may be able to adjust shoulder/crotch strap to make it sit a bit higher.

However they run big. I bought a small and had to lower the wing because of the torso length of the harness. That aside I love mine, I'm a DM on Mexico and five it dailyYAN G : We are selling some in the Used Dept that are the older model. Slightly different cosmetically. To configure the trim I recommend that you install on the shoulder straps of cargo pockets with zipper.

With its modular capabilities, the Hollis Gear (HTS) Harness Technical System offers personalized options to meet your diving needs. You can easily switch from a single tank soft pack to a dual tank back-plate system. The harness boasts a streamlined design with a comfort back pad, lumbar support, and stainless-steel D-rings on the shoulders, waist, and crotch strap for attaching accessories. The shoulder, sternum, and crotch straps are adjustable with "squeeze-style" side-release buckles, while the waist strap has a removable cummerbund and a stainless-steel "latch-style" buckle. The HTS can accommodate the Hollis Gear S25 & S38 Wings and Optional 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) interchangeable quick-release weight pockets with stainless steel D-rings. Additionally, it features dual non-slip cam bands with plastic non-corrosive cam buckles for easy cylinder mounting and a carry handle. The harness system weighs 8 lbs. (3.6 kg) and is made from durable 2" (5cm) nylon webbing for long-lasting performance.

The Hollis Gear (HTS) Harness Technical System can easily switched from a single tank soft pack to a dual tank back-plate system, the modular capabilities of the HTS may be personalized to your needs. This streamlined modular harness system has a comfort back pad with lumbar support and stainless-steel D-rings on shoulders, waist and crotch strap for accessory attachment. The waist strap, crotch strap and shoulder straps are manufactured from durable 2" (5cm) nylon webbing for strength and long-life performance.

The harnesses torso adjustable shoulder, sternum and crotch strap all are equipped with "squeeze-style" side-release buckles for easy donning and doffing. The sternum strap has 2-mounting positions for a more custom fit. The waist strap also comes with a (removable) cummerbund and has a stainless-steel "latch-style" buckle. Mounting of the cylinder is made easy with the dual non-slip cam bands with plastic non-corrosive cam buckles.
