Questions & Answers

REGINALDO B : How do I know how much air is left on the thank? Is there a small pressure gage like Spare Air product?JEFF R : You can easily add one to the high pressure port. I did so I know what’s in the bottle. When you fill it off large tank that you know the pressure of, then you’ll know how much is in the pony bottle before the dive. That’s enough info for most people, but I prefer the gauge. As a backup bailout bottle, you should ascend at once if you need to use it. I also like to use it at each dive deco stop for a few minutes to know it’s working properly and maintain my familiarity with the unit since it’s an emergency item.
Brendan M : Can this use the same adapters as spare air?Mario C : Nope, they have different fitting sizes.
Shopper : HOW IS IT FILLED?Mario C : thank you Jeff, correct when you buy you have to make an option what filling style you want but if you want both you can get the other adapter separate.JEFF R : You must buy the 1 or both adapters that screw into the black capped fill port on the regulator. One adapter attaches to a filled scuba tank and you bleed off some of the air to fill your pony bottle. Doing this would lower the amount of air in a 3000 psi full size tank to approx 2800 psi (6 cu ft/80 cu ft X 3000 psi = 225 psi loss). The other adapter also screws into the same port, but fits into the fill hose at any air fill station. Get the adapter that fills your needs, or both. I use the first one described above. Happy diving from Jeff
PATRICK C : Is this considered a first or second generation of this product? There is a second generation model for sale in other places and some outlets sell the first generation model of this regulator. What is this one?Mario C : Thank you for your question. The first generation ones were phased out many years ago. we only carry the second generation.
Shopper : SKU: H2EASSMFR: EAS2S - is this kit fit for 6cu Luxfer Aluminum Pony Tank? is it install instead of valve to the tank?PAUL T : Yes on mine it is but a more standard valve can be used .peter d : Yes correct. The regulator screws directly into tankSCOTT G : Yes, it has the same thread pattern as a standard tank valve.

I miss understood the order configuration

Works way better than I expected. I purchased this with the 19 cubic foot tank. I put the tank in a camel back back pack so the regulator just fits out the top. I carry it with me when Im scuba diving just in case. I also wear the back pack on my chest and can use the set up for shallow water dives, inspecting my boats, or just having some fun. With controlled breathing I was able to stay down 20 feet for 25 minutes with some air to spare. Great product. Im considering getting a low pressure qd and a 3 foot hose for it. Considering getting another one. And also a high pressure hand pump for back packing trips.

1st and 2nd stage only. No tank

Not what expected. I didn't realize that "Regulator system" meant 1st and 2nd stage only. Received without a tank. Had to purchase tank separately(eBay), if description was clear, I would have realized no tank was included and I would not have purchased. I emailed to inquire about purchasing a tank and i never received a reply. Not impressed. Thanks anyway leisure pro. The name definitely fits!!

Life saver

I have been using my pony tank for over ten faultless years on my dive boat and only replaced the regulator for fear it might of failed. As a free diving spear fisherman I carry this tank in a home made holster on my weight belt. If I shoot a fish poorly and it swims into the reef, having a pony tank can make the difference between me or a shark getting my fish. If I get tangled up in 350lb mono filament spear line the pony tank tank can make the difference between drowning and life. I heartily reccomend H2o extra air source. Wouldn't jump in the water without one.

You be the judge!

Good way to seperate yourself from a panicky diver. Good back up air source while hunting if your buddy leaves you.Leave valve on tank shut off till ready to use. Pouch comes un done to easily may lose bottle. Swivel at regulator not well made, may leak at O ring. Not made well enough for constant use, getting lobsters that you can't get freediving. Can't put price or be to upset with equiptment that saves life.

You're 60' (18m) down, and your primary air source malfunctions, you can't get air! What do you do? Pull-out your extra air source, calmly make your way to the surface, make a safety stop and once back on the boat or on shore thank your lucky stars" you dove with the extra air source. The Extra Air Source removes existing limits on redundant air currently on the market and allows you to configure a redundant air source tailored to your diving- needs. Whether you're cave diving or diving shallow reefs the Extra Air Source will get you to the surface and even provide you with enough air for a safety stop if configured correctly for your maximum depth.

Having a redundant air source for increased safety allows independent emergency air not dependent on your primary air supply. An octopus or breathable inflator system both depend on the reliability of your primary air source. If it malfunctions you're out of air! The EAS2 gives you the reliability of a redundant air system using a dependable non-balanced flow-by piston first stage with a downstream demand valve second stage. The first stage regulator threads directly into the neck of the cylinder eliminating the need or bulk of a cylinder valve or hose. First stage has a sure grip on/off valve hand wheel that is easy to turn even with gloved hands. The first stage is equipped with two 3/8" threaded low pressure ports and one 7/16" threaded high pressure port on the marine grade chrome platted brass body for corrosion resistance and long life.

The second stage regulator has a bright yellow purge cover, is a dependable simple downstream demand valve design which connects to the first stage via a 360½ vertical/horizontal swivel. The second stage has a quality silicone mouthpiece, diaphragm and dual exhaust valves in a dual exhaust manifold for ease of inhalation/exhalation when in an emergency out of air situation. The large purge button makes clearing the regulator safe and easy. The first stage regulator threads directly into the neck of a 3/4"-14 NPSM cylinder eliminating the need or bulk of a cylinder valve, it also gives you the latitude of selecting the size of cylinder to be utilized.

The Extra Air Source is available in two models. If you find that you will be filling your unit predominantly at your local dive store or on a dive boat that can fill cylinders then you will prefer the Station Filler Model, if you will be filling your unit while on the fly, then you will need the Yoke Model which allows filling from your Scuba cylinder. If you find you may need both then the SKU's for the two Filler Adapters are as follows: H2EASSFA Station Filler and H2EASYFA Yoke Filler. Product comes with an owner's manual.
