I like many features, but did not realize there was no option for a watch face with color on this model. Would not have purchased it, if I had realized this. Would prefer a clock face with color to show progress toward goals. I would give it 5 stars if it had this option.

I'm a 57-year-old male had a very High level of fitness. I recently transitioned from the Fitbit charge five to the 2S. As a cyclist, I ride almost 3000 miles a year outdoors and another 3500 indoors.. Putting most of the wear and tear on my Garmin head units. But now with this watch, I'm doing some of the rides with just watch? And unexpectedly it is not a major inconvenience to forget my chest strap for heart rate. The wrist and the chest strap correlate well enough through zone four. Now on my rest days? I can ride 10 to 15 miles to a pool swim for an hour and a half and then ride back another 10 to 15 miles? And not worry about my head unit or my chest strap! Not to mention that I was so frustrated with my Fitbit charge five that I told friends and relatives ?it wasn't fit for a child let alone an athlete. The GPS is on par with my Edge 1030! And for those days, when capturing your ride is imperative? It's a comforting, feeling to know that my watch is monitoring my chest strap as well! It synchronizes very quickly with all of my sensors on my bikes. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback and thank you very much for an awesome product!

I brought the watch 2 months ago and love it. But confusing how to set the program up. Still learning about the features.

I've been wearing this watch for the last few weeks and have absolutely loved it! I've taken it hiking, trail runs, and running!

After several years of Fitbit failures due to water or just excessive sweat. I've made the switch to a Garmin. Now granted it does stink that the smallest face size only comes with a small band. Plus thanks to Amazon I've been enjoying my new watch. Between my daughter, son in law and my nephew I'm narrowing in the settings that will work best for my needs.

Loving that it tracks my heart rate during my workouts and steps. There's much more that I could do with this watch, but I don't need to and it's easy to operate.

I have had the Instinct 2S for about 2 weeks now. I am pleased with it in every aspect. It would be nice if it has some color in the display, but other than that I have no suggestions. It is highly customizable to your personal tastes. I like that it is controlled by buttons rather than a touch display. This watch replaced Vivoactive 3 and you could often accidentally touch the face and go to sections accidentally. You could never take it off and put it in your pocket or it change all kinds of configurations. You give up a little bit or readability with the smaller face, but if you have a smaller wrist it fits better than the larger face watches. Overall I give it a 9-10 so far.

Most of the functions are useful and the connect graphs are helpful. Sleep doesn't register Rem, light, and awake well; but is a good estimate. There are too many categories for workouts and they repeat in multiple sections. The new connect dashboard is less useful than the one recently updated. It is a well fit, durable, and reliable watch. Most complaints are with the lack of ability fix records that are missing data; weight lifting tracking, type of yoga, and biking. Biking needs an extra purchase to gain necessary stats. If the old dashboard returned and the option to record Reps, Sets, and weight for Strength Training post session, it would be highly recommended.

Good watch exact for band that comes with it is to short for most so you have to purchase a longer band from garmin

My girlfriend surprised me with the instinct 2s. I really enjoy it. I think the perfect description I've found is "the smart watch for someone that doesn't want a smart watch." I really enjoy this thing.

I bought this a few months ago. My last watch was a touchscreen and I don't miss that as much as I thought I would. The battery life is great. I would say I could probably go 2 weeks on a charge, but I typically charge it once a week. Great features. Syncs great with my Samsung phone.

I used FitBit devices for years and Garmin blows them away. I haven't had the watch very long, but I'm impressed by the features that you get for not a lot more than you pay for a FitBit. I've had to replace my FitBits twice because they break when they get submerged in water, and I decided to go with something else. I'm glad that I did. I can't speak to how good the watch is over a long period of time; I've only had it for about a month, but so far, I'm impressed.

I bought this watch almost a year ago. I wanted something I could wear while rock climbing that would be durable to track my exercise. It's been exceptional at what it does and the battery life is amazing compared to my old Fitbit. Also by this time after purchasing my old Fitbit, it had cracks in the screen.

I really love this watch! It does everything I was looking in to as a watch! My only complaint is I wish the band was longer! I went with the 40mm watch face cause I'm not a big watch face kind of guy. Need a watch band that is the length of band that comes with the 45mm watch. Would be cool to see that option of the watch coming in with both the smaller and larger watch band.

I am always able to get any information from the display regardless is it day or night, whereas the liquid crystal display of another smartwatches does not fully allow this.

I got this about two weeks ago, and it is a solid product. Obviously, it does not have a color screen, and the screen is not high up, but it works wonderfully for what it is designed for which is utilitarian hard use. I haven't run it all the way dead, but it seems like the battery actually does last about 18 to 19 days!

This is my first Garmin, so I'm giving you the perspective of a newbie. I find the running and swimming functions (which are my two regular sports) to be difficult to understand, and therefore not very useful. I understood that this watch would be compatible with Nike Run Club, which has been my running companion for years, and expected to see that app in ConnectIQ, but it is not. So far the syncing of my data between my watch and NRC app is inconsistent. This was very disappointing. I like the morning report feature, I just wish I could figure out how to edit what it shows to be exactly what I want to see. I bought this watch for my anniversary, and then one month later it was reduced in price by $100, so apparently it was poor timing, I wish I hadn't paid full price. I would give it three stars, but I'm sure some of these issues are from me just being new to Garmin world. Summary: it's not what I expected after all the hype about Garmin being perfect for runners. It may be?but I just can't figure out how.

I bought this a month ago and WOW I'm impressed! I was a little worried not going the solar route bc of battery life with this 2. But with 21 days of battery, what more can you ask for? If you aren't without electricity I think this watch is perfect for you. It takes an hour, maybe 2 to fully charge back up and even with my busy schedule I have easily been able to find time to recharge my watch for the next 21 days! This watch truly has every feature you could ask for. From heart rate, to endless activities to choose from, even to the accuracy of its sleep score tracking?this watch has everything you could need! Very durable as well. Love it and highly recommend.

I upgraded to the Instinct 2S from a Fitbit Charge 5 and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner! The features are fantastic, everything is accurate, and by personalizing the watch face for the information I want displayed has helped motivate me to get up and workout even if I'm tired. I run 4 days a week and lift the other 3 and this watch is beyond perfect for both.

Great watch with nice features. I wish that some of the features were a bit more accurate though. There were steps added when I was driving my vehicle. It doesn't always pick up the floors you move up or down. The sleep measurements are a little off also. With that said, the heartrate counter is nice, and steps taken are generally accurate enough. Compass also seems to be reasonably accurate if not dead on most times. Overall, a good addition to most people's lives. I also wish the Instinct had more color as well, but that's not really a huge gripe.

Got this as a gift for Christmas and I had been eyeing it for awhile. My only complaint and the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the stock band was to small. I don't like big watch faces, which is why I picked this model. I wish they sent a longer band with it.

This watch is really nice and I love all the features. It also seems to be very accurate, even the sleep data is right on point. My only gripe is the watch band is way to small for my wrist. I can hardly fasten it. Replacement bands from Garmin are way to expensive and cheap bands from Amazon are well just trash. Since the watch doesn't fit me properly you would think Garmin would send a free replacement bands but of course they won't.

I got this watch for Christmas and I love it but, the band is way too small. I put an order in with Garmin for a larger band and my order wasn't processed after 5 days so I cancelled the order. Poor service.

Instinct 2S replaced Coros pace2 (too much long distance bias for me). Owned a forerunner35 before coros Instinct 2 has current health stats and reviewing them is fairly easy on watch or app. Dont find it as easy to make own workouts that do what was so simple on forerunner: pick duration and number of reps, set time, start! Does not happen with instinct
