Battery life is the initial reason for looking at garmin and also the more conventional watch looks. For biking, kayaking, and hiking it is much better than Apple. I do miss the phone and text answering option but I still get notifications. Overall very happy.

I upgrade from Fenix 5, complete different watch. It has much more things than the previous watch. Only need to answer a phone. I hope a new version coming with that.

I am 73 years old. I bought this over a year ago and am amazed by all the features. Between it and Training Peaks, i can record and keep track of all my training. With this help, I was successful in running Rim to rim to rim of the Grand canyon in 19 hours last September, a 55k in December, a 50k in January and 25 miler in March. Tomorrow I am heading back up to the canyon for a faster R3. Pace Pro on the Fenix has helped me to substantially reduce my time and keep me going. It is much like having my own personal pacer. Highly recommend this watch and I do to everyone I talk to.

I have had the watch for about a month and it has amazing features, like sleep score, spotify playlist storage and it is also stylish. The battery lasts 30 days. I am very happy with the watch.

I was diagnosed with AFib on January 7, 2024 after going to the hospital after a brief visual loss. They noted my heart rate was 130 which I hadn't even felt. Took 4 hours to get my heart rate down. For peace of mind, I started researching a device that would monitor my heart rate 24/7 but also be much more than that. I am a Garmin fan. In my opinion they are the only choice if you want the best in mapping and navigation. I wanted something to use for hiking and walks. When my son Sebastien found out I was diagnosed with AFib, he covertly queried what I would like, though I had already been asking him about various devices. In the end, the FENIX 7 was the one I told him I would be interested in. He invited my wife and I for lunch, let me try on "his" watch, and said "its yours!". While it does not do AFib measurements, that is fine. What I need is a heart rate monitor to let me know when I am above 100bpm for any period of time. This watch does and DID that for me. I know I'm in AFib at that point. Its the high heart rate that will cause me problems. I also appreciate the app that the watch uploads data to on my phone. Helps me track AFib sessions to show my doctor. The maps on the watch and the hiking app are slowly motivating me to do more exercising to help improve my physical shape. I just hate that I have to take it off to charge it. The battery life is quite good too for the 48mm I have. Not a full week for the battery management settings I have set up, but 4-5 days before needing a recharge, which I do after I wake up and get to work around 9am. Looking forward to getting the Garmin upper arm BP monitor as well, as soon as it is approved for Canada, so I can have my BP stats as well in one app. I do like that it can do oxygen measuring as I have had issues with clotting in my lungs, which the oximeter app will catch. I have that one set to manual to help extend my battery. The heart monitoring is my priority at this point. This watch gives me great peace of mind knowing it is watching over me.

My Fenix 6 Pro died after 5ish years of daily use. The like many of the updated features of the Fenix 7 for training. The only issue I have not been able to adjust is the weather location function. The watch will not adjust the weather to my "Current Location". Others than that one issue, I highly recommend the watch for training and connecting workouts to Training Peaks and Strava.

I've been using my Fenix 7 for about a month. The workout tracking features are good - it accurately captures about 80% of my reps and it's easy to correct on the fly. Building your own workouts is easy enough. On the trails it's been fun to use with the family on a couple hikes and provides good data for cardio goals when solo. Other than that smart watch features are adequate, it looks great and does everything I need.

Very good battery life. Finds satelites fast enough. Everything works just fine except for the sleeping log. That doesn't work at all for me. When I'm in bed it seems that the fenix 7 thinks I'm asleep. So when I've had the worst sleep ever the watch can tell me that I had a perfect night and is prepared for everything. Quite annoying to say the least. But it still get a 4/5 star from me since everything else about it is awesome.

I switched to the fenix 7 from an Apple Watch Series 8, and I will never look back. The metrics that the fenix provides are outstanding. It helps guide my training, focus on areas on opportunity, and keeps me pushing forward. The battery is an incredible upgrade. I went 14 days without charging after my first charge. 2 full weeks! The fenix is easily compatible with my peloton bike for use as a heart rate monitor. Trade in your Apple Watch and buy one of these.

Received the Garmin Fenex 7 for Christmas and have been infatuated with it every since. I like logging my workouts, monitoring my sleep/rest, the safety location feature when I'm in back country, and many other features. Notably the reminder that I've worked very hard and deserve a rest day :)

I'm using both the Garmin/app & the Fitbit Charge 4/app at the same time until my Fitbit dies. The Fitbit app is better than the the Garmin app but the Fitbit app costs $80/year and the Garmin app is free so I'll get over the minor differences once the Fitbit dies. The battery life on my Garmin is 9 days which is slightly better than my Fitbit so that's even better. I only need to charge once a week! It's too bad Google is squandering their influence with legacy Fitbit customers by trying to force them over to Google Pixel which needs to be charged every day which is a show stopper for me and many others who want to track their health 24 hours a day not 18...

I was looking to upgrade my Forerunner 245 to add golf features but maintain all the running features of the 245. The Fenix not only adds awesome golf features but upgraded the features I've used for running.

I bought it a month ago, I was using the Venu which is also very good, but I am a date lover and this watch gives me much more and more detailed information. From how you slept, how much time you need to recover, how productive your training was, heartbeat, VO2, jet lag, navigation maps... in short, for data lovers, like me, it's a gem! I use it mostly for running, although I do different sports. Garmin has very high standards, always satisfied with their products!

Best device I have ever worn. This is the 5th Garmin I have owned and it does everything I want plus more! I'm still learning the features but the fact that the battery has such a long life is the best thing so far!

I needed a watch with a second hand for work. I have the Instinct, which didn't. So I upgraded to this watch. I wish I could customize the watch face a little more, but overall I am very happy with this watch.

I bought this watch about three weeks ago. It's a solid watch I love it I had two Iwatches and two fit bit watches and they broke or crack the screens. With the Fénix 7 is a solid, rugged watch. I love it.

I've had the Fenix 7 for a few weeks now. I love the battery life, touchscreen, and the buttons. I use the GPS feature at least once a day for walks, runs, and to play golf. The battery lasts for over a week! I love the ability to customize the screens for my runs and walks so I can see the information I want. The golf feature is the reason I bought this particular watch though. I am able to find exact yardages to the hole or to any other point along the course and I get a visual layout of what the individual holes look like. The smartwatch capabilities do what I need, so no complaints there.

Je l'ai depuis 1 an.

Upgraded from Fenix 3. The size of the 7s is fantastic. The watch face is clear and easy to see. I bought it for the Training readiness and HRV data, which so far seem repeatable. I feel like to start a workout and save them, it's more button pushes, because it gives you more options (like restart later).

Watch has a lot of nice features for athletic People plus the tracks a lot of different things. The only thing I don't like is. You have to have earbuds in to answer the phone and you can't make replies easily with a text.

I have had several Garmins and love them to death. This was a bonus buy for me to upgrade and love all the features! I tell everyone in the running groups who ask what kind of watch to buy - buy a Garmin! I have an Apple Watch but ditched it for this watch.

Had to replace my Fenix 3 and wow! Just a huge upgrade from my old watch. Better battery life, screen, data, add music and no more chest strap. Also, like being able to respond to texts from the watch. Wish I had upgraded sooner!
