Not thrilled with the fact the sizing is unisex. That made it difficult to size. i started with a 7 because i wear a womens 7.5. They were way too small. Went to the 9 and way too big but still tight. I guess you can only return once so now i have. a store credit when i'd rather just be refunded.

Nice looking boot! Just too bulky for my use! I use scuba pro twin jet fins size xl, it was a very tight fit for these boots ! Too bulky!!!

Very heavy boots but I bought them to use for shore diving in Hawaii where there is a lava reef. I was told they wouldn't slip, and that is sort of true. However, they have gotten less useful after about 40 uses, they seem more slippery. The other disappointing thing is that the soles started chipping at the toes after about 8 months, and now the entire sole has a big split in it from the chip about 2 inches onto the sole. I bought them exactly a year ago, so I had expected much longer use out of them. Not sure if I will buy them again or not. The size 6 fit my size 8 (female) foot pretty well. One of the zippers keeps sliding down, which is a drag so that is a minus. Maybe I just got a bum pair.

Very good for cold water diving ... I wear booties with these boots ... I have dove many times in 37 & 38 F water and my feet never got cold ... In my opinion these are absolutely the best boots one can buy ... The velcro tab keeps the zipper secure ...

Fit true to size. Warm, secure footing and great support for divers with high arches.

Solid dive boot - well made and comfortable albeit it somewhat small. The overall fit is quite narrow. Beware if you have wide feet - these are NOT for you. I use Lycra socks and donning them is not as easy as any other boot I've worn. Took a while to get that done the first time. (The zipper cut is quite high). They are warm and provide more support than any other boot I've used. They come with custom insteps which provide great arch support. I'm a size 11 and they fit very tightly. Acceptable but I just wish they made them a tad wider in the toe section. On the plus side they easily fit all my fin pockets

I have had a chance to use (and destroy) many different brands of scuba boots over the past few years working underwater. The Fourth Element Amphibian 6.5mm boots are the nicest boots that I have ever used. They are also the most expensive, but they are worth it. The fit is superb (at least for my feet and ankles), the insoles are very comfortable, and the toe box is roomy (many boots are way too pointy) without being too loose. They run true to size (ie I wear a size 10, the 10 fit perfectly)...but no worries, Leisure Pro is very good about return/exhange if needed. One thing that you will notice, is that when you unzip the boot there is no panel that seals the opening. It does make donning and duffing easier. My inital concern was that it would be colder, but I have used these in 45* water and they have been warm. So even without the panel, these boots seal well enough that I when launching the boat, and wading through water I was surprised to find that no water leaks into these boots. The sole is sturdy, has good "gripsion" (as my daughter would say)- good on slippery boat decks, or rocky terrain. The sole thickness still allows the use of most fins (of course it depends on your fins). Overall a great purchase, this last order is for a back up set, for future use, they are that good.

The first diving boots in the world to feature ergonomic foot bed insoles, the new Amphibian boots from Fourth Element are set to redefine comfort in diving footwear. The Amphibian diving boots are designed for a diver who wants the ultimate in support and protection. A stable foot bed and hardwearing molded outsole make this ideal for regular shore diving. A common problem with dive boots is having the zipper slide down during a dive, letting water in and making your feet cold. The heavy-duty zipper and in particular zip-stopper on the Amphibian boots reduce the risk of this happening, keeping the top of the boot tight around your ankle. The Amphibian's hard wearing optimized outsole gives a superior level of grip and maximum stability. This makes it ideal for shore diving, negotiating entry to the water especially over slippery rocks.
The Fin-Strap Retainer does exactly what is says, keeping the strap up on the back of your heel. This has been carefully researched and tested to work with most diving fins on the market today. The cut-away at the back of the heel minimizes stress on the Achilles tendon during fining, ensuring greater comfort during longer dives. The Amphibian Boots are the only boots on the market today designed to include an ergonomic foot bed/insole. This provides heel support and impact protection, arch support and cushioning underfoot. The stiff chassis enhances stability and increases comfort when climbing a ladder or shore diving carrying full gear. The midsole provides additional cushioning underfoot from impact and uneven surfaces. This incorporates a heel cup for heel support, arch support and additional protection from sharp objects underfoot.
Climbing ladders in full kit is easier and it is more comfortable to stand and walk around wearing these boots due to the rigidity and support of the insole. Additional cushioning directly below the heel provides added impact protection when walking carrying dive equipment. Boots have double layer reinforcement, on the top of the boot protects the foot from pressure of the fin's boot pocket and enhances comfort. It is made using recycled materials. All seams are glued and sewn for strength and durability. Boots are available in multiple sizes.
