Daiwa's first spinning reel rolled off the assembly line in 1955. Since then, the company has grown into one of the largest and most influential tackle companies in the world today. From the very beginning, Daiwa's emphasis has been upon innovation and quality. The result is a long list of product features, design and materials that have become standards for the fishing tackle industry. It is a long-standing record of innovation, the type of innovation that has left a visible mark on the majority of tackle manufactured today, innovation that continues to advance the sport of fishing.
Daiwa's finest, professional-quality spincast tackle. These reels feature durable metal construction with an oscillating spool for precise level-winding and one of the smoothest spincast drags ever. Spool oscillates during retrieve for even line winding. So line doesn't dig into itself under pressure of a large fish and flows freely on outcast. Reel has ultra-smooth, multi-disc drag that is one of the smoothest drags ever put into a spincast reel. Its micro-fine adjustment lets you dial in the perfect setting to prevent the sudden surge of a large fish breaking your line. Rotating line pickup virtually cut-proof tungsten carbide pin line pickup turns with the line for easier winding and less wear to line and roller. Stainless steel ball bearing drive, rugged metal body, gearing and nose cone and a fast 4.1:1 right/left retrieve. Optimized line aperture for maximum casting and reel is pre-wound with premium line.
Reel is available in two models depending on your monofilament line weight requirements. The first model is for 75 yds. (68.6 meters) of line with a line test of 8 lbs. (4.54 kg), has a gear ratio of 4.1:1, with a retrieve rate of 20.8" (53 cm), and weighs 9.9 oz. (281 g). This reel provides medium large to medium heavy action in freshwater.
