The Daiwa Exceler Spinning Reel is newly designed to perform at higher standards. Exceler now has a narrow, rigid aluminum Hardbodyz body design, Air Rotor and Air Bail for a smooth and flawless performance. The Air Rotor weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength. The Air Rotor is made from Zaion carbon composite. The reels Air Bail is hollow for super strong yet light in weight, with no protrusions to snag line.
The Daiwa Exceler Spinning Reel has Digital Gear design that ensures a perfect mesh between ultra-tough, surface treated alloy drive gear and marine bronze pinion gear for optimized speed, power and durability. Reel comes with an ABS aluminum spool. The ABS spool's maximized cone diameter and reversed taper mean 100% useable line. No dead" line buried in a deep core. You can fill it with line right up to the edge of the spool lip without fear of tangles. This translates into less casting friction for longer and easier casting. He huge spool diameter lets line flow freely in large coils and produces less line memory coil. Casting friction and line memory hurt performance. Smaller spool diameter means line flows in tighter coils. You won't experience that problem with the Daiwa Exceler Spinning Reel
Reel has an infinite anti-reverse, precision-click drag adjustment. A medium-heavy action in freshwater and medium in saltwater. The reel has a 4-stainless steel ball bearing design with a single roller bearing and a gear ratio of 5.7:1, a 39.9" (101.4 cm) line retrieval per hand turn. The reel's maximum drag 13.2 lbs. (6 kg), weighs 13.6 oz. (385.6 g) and has monofilament line capacity of 300 yds. of 10 lbs. test (274.3 meters of 4.55 kg), 260 yds. of 12 lbs. test (237.75 meters of 5.45 kg) or 210 yds. of 14 lbs. test (192 meters of 6.35 kg) and comes with an owner's manual.
