- TransPac XT -
Born of necessity and refined over years of extreme use, the TransPac XT is Dive Rite's flagship harness. The TransPac XT was Inspired by a mountaineer's style backpack distributing weight across the diver's hips and back, not the shoulders. High density foam pads on the shoulders and waist, along with a lumbar support pad provide superior comfort above and below the water. Originally designed by Dive Rite CEO Lamar Hires for his early expeditions to the remote Karst regions of Japan. On these expeditions he needed a rugged harness system that would allow him to utilize back mounted doubles and single, as well as sidemount in some of the smaller cave passages. In addition to being a versatile diving tool, the TransPac also needed to be comfortable enough to hike tanks a mile back into a dry cave.
Soft backplate is flexible and comfortable on the back. Wrap-around hip pads: Dual density foam pads provide cushioning and support and help distribute weight evenly across the hips and back. Ergonomic shoulder pads: Double-foam pads under the webbing strap provide padding comfort to the shoulder area. Lumbar support pad: Molded foam pad contoured in the right places with mesh airflow channels provides added comfort and instant water draining when topside. Chafe-free comfort: The padded shoulder straps and hip straps provide a chafe-free diving experience. Backpacking style waist belt: Supports and balances weight across the hips and back for even distribution of weight in and out of the water. Load distribution: The chest strap along with the crotch strap work together with the backpacking style waist belt and pivot ring shoulder straps to evenly distribute weight for maximum stability and comfort in the water.
Maximum Adjustability:
Shoulder straps and waist strap: Easily adjustable in length to allow for diving any type of exposure suit. Crotch strap (removable): Pull adjustment to set the exact length needed to accommodate any type of exposure suit. Cross-chest strap: Buckles across the chest with a pull adjustment to fine tune the shoulder straps in the exact position desired. Shoulder straps attach to the top of the backplate at pivot rings, allowing for easy adjustment. Pull strap on the quick-release buckles between the shoulder straps and waist strap allow for fine adjustments and a perfect fit. Shoulder strap attachment waist plates slide to allow for positioning on the waist strap at the desired location. Waist webbing can be easily replaced allowing for many years of use.
Unlimited Versatility and Customization:
Dive a single tank, double tanks, a rebreather, or sidemount by simply swapping out the wing along with some additional mounting accessories. Compatible with any XT or EXP wing in the Dive Rite line. Add accessories like gear pockets, weight pockets, a line cutter, knife, or additional D-rings with ease.
The Dive Rite TransPac XT Harness, exceptionally rugged, yet beautifully streamlined, the TransPac XT redefines expectations about function and comfort in Scuba harnesses. Dive Rites radically updated TransPac XT now provides a true mountaineer backpack design with an integrated hip belt, molded foam lumbar support and ergonomic shoulder pads. Available in multiple sizes with easy customization options at the shoulder and waist plate, the TransPac XT is designed to fit any size diver, including children.

Streamlined Contoured Design for Precision Buoyancy
Featuring an innovative 3D contoured shape, this Wing wraps closely around the cylinder, providing precise lift placement for improved trim and optimized surface flotation. Built with rugged 1680 ballistic nylon and SuperFabric side panels, it offers exceptional abrasion resistance to withstand harsh underwater conditions. This modular wing seamlessly integrates with TransPac, TransPlate, or any metal backplate and harness system, making it a versatile choice for serious divers.
- Trans-Plate Harness -
The Dive Rite Trans-Plate Harness is a hybrid harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack-style harness for better weight load distribution, yet wish to dive a hard metal back-plate. Designed like a mountaineer's backpack, the Trans-Plate Harness disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. When used with a 6 lbs. (2.73 kg) steel back-plate, divers can remove or minimize weight pockets. Adjustable straps adapt to a wide variety of exposure suits and means easy donning and doffing. The modular design allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories.
The harnesses shoulder pads constructed of 1000-denier ballistic nylon fabric for tear and abrasion resistance. 2" (50mm) nylon webbing rated at 7,000 lbs. (3,182 kg) breaking strength forms the shoulder straps and waist strap. Four 2" (50mm) D-rings on each shoulder strap are slightly bent for improved access and placement can be adjusted. (Note: size medium has only one 2" (50mm) D-ring per shoulder strap due to space limitations.)
The shoulder straps feature pivot rings at chest-level for comfort, fit, and load distribution. Acetyl resin engineered plastic "squeeze-style" quick-release buckles on shoulders for easy doff and don. 1" (25mm) nylon webbing rated at 2,200 lbs. (1,000 kg) breaking strength and a Delrin 1" (25mm) squeeze-style quick-release buckle is used for a chest strap.
Note: Stainless steel and/or aluminum back-plate, and cam straps are sold separately (see SKU's: Back-Plates; DIV2117, DIV2116, Cam Straps; DIV2032, DIV2035).
- QB Weight Pocket, Set of 2 -
The Dive Rite 20 lbs. (9.1 kg) Quick Buckle (QB) Weight Pockets consist of an insert pocket that easily releases when the handle is pulled and a holster that stays securely on the waist belt. Designed for use on the TransPac Harness (see SKU: DIVT3300, DIVTW) or any other harness using 2" (50.8mm) webbing, they can be worn vertically or horizontally with each pocket holding up to 10 lbs. (4.54 kg) of weight securely in position throughout the dive. Simple, top-loading pocket protects divers from an inadvertent buoyancy event by keeping weight securely in place. Worn at an angle on the waist belt for easier access, the right-hand pocket is identified by the color Dive Rite logo while the left pocket is plain, without a logo. Tall and narrow, our 20 lbs. (9.1 kg) QB Weight Pockets leave plenty of room on the waist for other accessories, if desired.
The weight pocket insert has two internal pockets that load from the top and the bottom. The internal pockets keep weight from shifting around and allow for either soft or hard weights. Built to last manufactured from 1680 denier ballistic nylon fabric that is tear and abrasion resistant. 2" (50.8mm) nylon webbing loops on the back of the pocket slide over a 2" (50.8mm) webbing waist strap and secure the pocket into place. 2" (50.8mm) stainless slide locks pocket in place on any webbing. Acetyl quick buckle is used to easily secure the pocket in the holster. Nickel plated brass grommets resist rust and corrosion. Made in the U.S.A.
- Cam Strap with Stainless Steel Buckle -
The Dive Rite Cam Strap with Stainless Steel Roller Buckle uses a 2" (5cm) wide nylon webbing with a 36" (91.4cm) webbing length. Cam strap is suitable for cylinders from 6.9" (17.5cm) to 8" (20.3cm) in diameter, which includes them most popular sizes of cylinders. A The lightweight marine grade stainless-steel buckles nylon rollers provide protection for the cylinder from being scratched by the buckle, while a rubber non-slip pad prevents the cylinder from shifting once the cam buckle has been secured. Excess webbing is secured using hook & loop fastener, which will also prevent the buckle from accidentally coming open.A The cam strap webbing has a 7,000 lbs (3,182kg) tensile strength and weighs 11 oz (311g). Cam strap is proudly made in the U.S.A.
- Crotch Strap 1.5" (3.8cm) with Quick-Release Buckle -
Does the standard 1" (2.5cm) crotch strap have you singing an octave higher, but you like the convenience of a quick release (QR) buckle? The 1.5" (3.8cm) Crotch Strap with side-release squeeze-style quick-release buckle is a welcome change to old-industry standards. It comes with a slide-release buckle for divers who want the convenience of a crotch strap that can be adjusted on-the-fly, yet the 1.5" (3.8cm) strap is more comfortable, especially if tension is added such as when using a dive scooter.A
Using a crotch strap allows divers to fasten the harness and back-plate securely to the body, ensuring more uniform trim and buoyancy characteristics in water. The use of a crotch strap also reduces the likelihood of the tank hitting the back of the diver's head during a dive or while resting at the surface. Crotch straps include a 304-grade stainless-steel scooter ring for use with diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs). The ring is also a convenient place to temporarily clip-off an item to free your hands, such as a lobster snare or camera.A The 1.5" (3.8cm) continuous webbing crotch strap measures 38" (96.5 cm) in length has a 2,200 lbs (100kg) tensile strength, weighs 3 oz (85g) and is preferred by technical divers who use DPVs for extended periods of time. Crotch strap is made in the U.S.A.
