The Dive Rite TransPlate harness is a hybrid scuba backplate harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack style harness while diving a hard metal backplate. Built like a mountaineer's backpack, this technical diving harness system distributes weight across the hips and back to reduce shoulder strain and improve overall load balance underwater.

Weight is dispersed efficiently across the back and hips for improved comfort during the dive. When used with a six pound steel backplate, divers can remove or minimize weight pockets.
