Great at a shallower depth, once you start hitting a bit deeper it feels a bit more strenuous, but was still plenty breathable at 110 feet.

This is an excellent value considering all the features, Definitely one of the best. While there are many regulators that have the same features, turret, sealed, etc... It has one thing that in my mind make it stand out a little bit. It has an additional retaining ring holding the diaphragm in, allowing the front cover to be removed for cleaning/inspection with out the the innards falling out. Overall, one of the best.

I won this set up from Dive Rite at a Leisure Pro sponsored event at Dutch Springs. I recently Nov 2017 took this regulator set with me to the Cayman Island to try it out. Pros: Great Price MSRP is $629. Mine was free. Breathes great and effortlessly. On a swim through, we exited on a wall at 113' and I needed to open up the adjustment control valve knob to increase flow Nitrox. Cons: Weight. A bit heavy for travel. Made in China so do not expect the same quality as Atomic, Mares, and Scubapro. Have the unit serviced only by a Dive Rite service center. I have 10 open water dives and 4 quarry dives on this set. All warm water dives. Would I recommend this set up for cold water? No The XT AOW Regulator is worn a bit differently than standard recreational regulators, the XT AOW Regulator places the primary regulator on a longer hose that is stowed neatly under the divers arm. The primary regulator is typically the regulator an out of air diver will reach for in an emergency and the longer hose allows both divers comfort during descent. The secondary second stage is stowed on a necklace where it can be easily reached by the donating diver. its a simple design, might even share parts and design with HOG, but it works, and works well. it can be used in cold or warm water, it has a control valve and good bang for the buck. when buying make sure authorized dealer/repairer near by. you want someone who knows what they are doing and has the parts, i found those things to be lacking in my area leading to long and tedious repair times. Also had it break due to inexperience and negligence when repair was attempted by a non dive rite knowledgeable tech. its made of plastic not heavy metals, cheaper to make and break. Easy to use and works well. good reg and not paying arm and leg for features like control valve and ability to work in all waters cold and warm.
