This regulator would have a 3/8"-24 male UNF thread for the first stage connection with a standard 9/16"-18 female UNF scuba style nut for connection to the second stage regulator.

And it is Standard because almost all 2nd stages are like that without able to set it up on the other way. I am looking for a second O2 second stage deco regulator.EDWARD L : Double check with the manufacturer but my recollection is they are O2 clean out of the box. The green cover should be an option in the order menu. If it doesn't appear in the drop down menu on the order page then no, it won't come with the green cover. Great 2nd stage, I have used them as both primary and deco regs and they perform.GLENN B : Yes, they are O2 clean and you can buy a replacement (green) for your deco rig from divegearexpress dot com for $6.JAMES B : The second stage does not need to be 02 clean because the pressure at the second stage is low pressure about 150 psi. Great Regulator, Good Breath and Rugged

Great reg for the money. Smooth breath on par with more expensive regs. Dragged this through mud, silt, over rocks and lava from 37 degree water to 73 degree water, from New England to Oahu and it keeps coming back for more. You can service the entire thing yourself as Dive Rite sells the parts and provides a step by step guide.

Outstanding value and performance

Have used this reg about 30 dives so far and it has been great. It?s a heavy duty well built reg. My only downside is it was heavier than I was used to but in the water it hasn?t been an issue. The ease of breathing is comparable to other mid range regs like aqualung and scuba pro models that I have tried but a third of the cost. My next reg setup will be this second and it?s first stage.

Performance + Price = The absolute best option

Already own a DR XT second stage and decided to buy another because it is the closest I’ve gotten to feeling the sensation of breathing on the surface. Very little resistance. The price makes this regulator unbeatable where some that triple the price of this still don’t compare performance wise. Am an instructor and I use this everyday and have put over 1000 dives on mine.

not recommended

first time i used it i got so much water coming in with every inhale i had to abort the dive,i checked the mouth piece for loose zip tie or fit and that was fine,,it is in a box today to be returned.but they won't give me my money back only a credit ,not too happy with that.i would not recommend this product

Quality comparable with other premium brands, or even better, by a fraction of their prices. New xt2 has a invaluable feature that can switch inlet side from right (common side) to left.

The XT Regulator welcomes a new generation of regulator performance at Dive Rite. An elite performer, the XT2's advanced, patented design earns top marks from Mike Ward of Dive Lab. With work of breathing at less than 1.0 J/l, the XT1 performs right alongside premier regulators on the market today. The second stage regulator ha an ergonomic dive/pre-dive Venturi lever that is easy to adjust even with thick gloves.The Venturi lever prevents regulator free flow. Second stage uses a pneumatically balanced downstream valve, which provides better performance at depth.

The second stage has an external adjustment knob to adjust the valve to fine tune inhalation effort. The second stage housing is manufactured from durable impact resistant ABS plastic and cover is carbon fiber with chromed brass adjustment knob and barrel tube. The spring and lever are stainless-steel and the second stage comes standard with Teflon coated internal parts, which makes it cold-water ready. The second stage regulator is available in a right or left-hand configuration for hose routing and dive equipment set-up requirements. The XT2 Second-Stage is Nitrox ready out of the box.
