Solid dive fin

By Adam H.

Took these fins down to the Gulf of Mexico on my first time using them. I truly love the way they fit and how easily I was able to propel myself through the water. I have wider feet and wear an 11.5 shoe. The XLs are perfect for me.

Dive Rite Fins

Great fins!! Light weight and if you have heavy feet then these are the right ones. If you have floaty feet then not what you need. My second set.

Sometimes it's best not to mess with a tried-and-true original. The XT Fin uses the original injected molded Monoprene blend from the 1990's, and is the best choice for divers looking for a high-performance blade. Identical in shape to our former fin, the XT brings us back to the original Monoprene blend that has been proven and successful for over 20 years. The XT's Monoprene with Monoprene center strip gives rigidity and flexibility for maximum performance with minimum effort, blend offers the best balance of power to work ratio, providing efficient finning in high flow or stiff currents. The blade shape is designed for a wide variety of kicks, including frog kicks, modified flutter and power kicks.

The XT are stiff, yet with plenty of snap and are lighter in weight than traditional rubber fins, meaning legs and feet won't cramp even after miles of swimming. The 8.5" (21.6cm) pliable marine grade stainless steel spring-heel strap allows for quick donning/doffing. A comfort heel pad and convenient, removable pull tab adds to the ease of use. A marine grade stainless steel buckle secures the heel strap to the blade. The stainless-steel buckle is a Dive Rite exclusive, and is guaranteed not to crack or break.

Easy to use spring fin straps automatically compensates for different size feet and boots. Spring fin straps are depth compensating because they will compress to changes in the thickness of your boots at depth and will decompress upon ascent. Fins are available in multiple sizes and weigh from 4.7 lbs (2.13kg) to 6.3 lbs (2.86kg) depending on size.

DEBARSHI D  "Weight: 4.7 lbs (2.13kg) to 6.3 lbs (2.86kg), Size Dependent" Is this for each or both combined?
darrick c  Hello Debarshi, that would be for the pair for fins.
Jin J  I have size small for 5mm booties but I need some fins for my SANTI drysuit with rockboots. I tried on the medium at the shop but the foot pocket was too small (the top hit the first Velcro of my Santi rockboots). Will the large be big enough for the Santi rockboots but also be snug enoug? The rock boots are women size 6
JOHN B  I did purchase these fins and after one year the whole top ripped out of the foot not covered by warranty until they fixed their problem I would not advise purchasing this product
Andaman T  Hi, i'm wearing US9 5mm soft sole booties. I have Mares Avanti Quattro size Regular that fits nicely. Do i need Medium or Large?
Mario C  according to size chart M
Andaman T  i end up getting the fins size Large for US9 5mm soft sole booties and it fits great
Mario C  Sorry i estimate it wrong,. happy you got the right size : ) Dive dive dive!!
morten normann f  I use mens size US 12 in shoe, and dive with a boot 6.5 mm. is Large the right size? Thanks
JOHN B  I think that will be a good fit, I wear a 12, and they fit me fine. JB DIVE SERVICES
morten normann f  Cool John. Do you use 6.5mm aswell? Cheers Morten
DAVE C  Hmmmm...I wear an XL fin with built in boots on my dry suit. The fins are not tight so you might be able to get a them to work for size 12. Hope that helps....P.S.: I love my XT's!!!
KIHONG P  Depends on whether you were dive boots. Without dive boots (but neoprene socks) it may barely fit. Fit dive boots, you’ll likely need at XXL. With fins, you have to go to a dive shop and try it out as you dive. There is no short cut. Good luck.
ROBERT M  I'm not sure but I can tell you that I wear a US 9 and the Large fits me well.
Andaman T  Hi, can you share your booties detail? I'm wearing 5mm soft sole US9 too and not sure on the sizing. Thank you!
tobias k  I wear a us 11.5 with 5 mil boots and these fit great. I think they'd have plenty of room to go just a bit bigger and fit your feet.
JEREMY C  what is the weight of these fins?
SUNG JUN M  It is not light. It may be a little heavy, but perfect lightness underwater. Neutral buoyancy can be fully realized. So it helps to trim.
ERIC S  They are light as fins go. Both pair of scuba pro fins I have are heavier than these. I have 4 sets of fins and these are my favorites especially for frog kicks.
DAVE C  I don't know the exact weight but they are not so heavy that my legs are tired after diving with them. I find myself kicking easier/softer than I have in the past using other fins. these fins are powerful when you put some serious kicks to them. I love my XT's and take them with me everywhere I dive. Hope that helps.
JEREMY C  thx for that Dave:) . I was asking since I wanted to compare them to other "jet" fins.
DAVE C  I have two sets of competitors jet type fins and I like my XT's much more than either of the other two sets of fins. I dive mostly cold water and some warm water. I don't use any other fins than my XT's.
