I've been using 4lb soft weights and haven't lost any.DUNCAN D : there is no liner. I like the pockets but make sure you use square weights as Ive lost 3lb rounded weights out of this. Each pocket will hold a 4lb or 5lb lead weight fine

The 12 lbs (5.4kg) Quick Release (QR) Weight Pocket Set is a simple and streamlined system for ditching weight. With a capacity up to 12 lbs (5.4kg) this set is perfect for warm water divers or divers requiring less weight.Weight is secured in the pocket using a low-profile 1" (25.4mm) quick release buckle and a hook-and-loop safety closure. If the diver needs to ditch weight in an emergency, it is quickly released with pull of the red tab.The 12 lbs (5.4kg) QR Weight Pocket Set can be added to any harness with 2" (5.1cm) webbing, including Dive RitesTransPac,TransPlate,Basic, andDeluxeharnesses (see SKU's: DIVT3300, PCKDDRT, PCKDDREV, PCKDDRV, DIVTW, PCKDDRET, PCKDDRR, PCKDDRC, DIV3500, DIV1063, DIV1080, DIV1080Q).
