Shopper : Does the bungee stretch?  If so, how long is it when stretched the maximum amount?darrick c : Hello, for the max stretch this would go to. You would need to contact the manufacture directly on that.Helen W : We had students hook them to bcd straps and then use them for annotation. I would say it stretches a good way. Maybe a couple of feet. Do glue the pencil in tho or watch them They get loose :)

Excellent. Niche use for me though...

Unusual use of this product - as a forensic pathologist I have to take notes (sometimes copious notes) during all phases of the examination, and with wet hands, with water running. Sometimes not very clean. These dive slates are the best thing I?ve found. Easy to write, easy to read, easy to clean. Oh, and they last pretty much forever.

Great price and product

Nicely constructed - the cap holds the pencil well (added a tiny it of Gorilla glue in the cap to secure pencil) I bought two for one going in my save the dive kit. I would buy again as it is one of the cheaper yet nicer pencils. Goes well with the Dive Rite writing slate. I use a pink eraser to remove notes and they come of easily with this pencil.

Little plastic connector this weak.

The cord holder comes off. Obviously not what you would want. I put a little Aqua seal on the end and now everything is good.

Much better than water colors for scuba diving

It's a pencil on a string and it is long enough to tie the spiral binder of the rite in the rain notepad.

If you own a Dive Rite Executive Slate, Wrist Slate or wRite Notebook (see SKU's DIV2058, DIV2061 or DIV2064) you'll want to have one of these replacement pencils for all slates and notebooks offered by Dive Rite in your save-a-dive-kit. Pencil is 3.5" (8.9cm) in length, comes with a 15" (38cm) of 0.125" (3mm) thick bungee attached to the solid carbon stick pencil. Included with pencil and bungee is a protective cap.
