Shopper : Will this support 270lb male ?Richard D : Yes...this is made very durable and will support larger individuals! Great product!Elizabeth P : I just replied that the strap was too short for a 170 lb male, but that XL was very possibly not available at that time, so just ignore my previous answer. I agree that it is not really a safety vest.Elizabeth P : I bought two of these as a fun wedding gift for friends a few years ago. The gentleman is 6'1" and only weights about 170. He found the strap on this one to be too short and was unable to use it.RICHARD M : It’s not really safety gear. The idea I think is to provide a little bit of surface buoyancy. It can also release gas to allow surface dives. If you want to be securely held at the surface and don’t intend to dive, perhaps a boat safety vest would work they are made to keep you securely in a heads up position but you might find one that would allow you to cruise on the surface and keep your face in the water.
Jeanne W : How do you deflate this?William M : To inflate remove inflation valve cap and inflate manually. To deflate vest remove inflation valve cap turn cap upside down insert into valve and squeeze vest.RICHARD M : It has a spring loaded valve. You push it down with your teeth to inflate, release to seal. To dive, hold the valve and sink feet first soearfisherman style to expel all the gas. I got this for my wife to use as a May West. She doesn’t submerge. It can be locked shut by turning a lock knob. Note that It’s light gear, not heavy duty like a BCD. There is no primary gas release valve other than the inflate tube. Finally, unlike. BCD, it cannot be rinsed with fresh water. I store my it slightly inflated.STEVEN K : Easy, just press valve down

Good light duty snorkel vest

Handy snorkel best. Easy to pack and fits the bill in cases where a vest is required and you can still dive. It is also as asset to visibility. I also carry a dive smb and finger spool for boat visibility but you have to Be skilled enough to avoid getting tangled in line. (I also carry a knife just in case...) Rinse it well to avoid salt damage.

Great snorkeling vests

I both two snorkel vests recently for our Hawaii trip! These vests were outstanding! Great quality and very affordable pricing! Most importantly the folks at Leisure Pro were outstanding! Tube is hard to detach

The snorkel mask performed well under controlled conditions (a pool). Not recommended for vigorous swimming, as is the case for all full-face snorkel masks. Biggest problem was detaching the snorkel tube. Marketing collateral claims it detaches easily, but when I pulled it off--with some difficulty-- the plastic on the tube adjacent to the tab on the mask cracked and fell off, leaving me wondering if I'll have a leakage problem next time I use it. Product is okay, but has that design flaw.

Great Vest

I bought this vest because I thought it had a brass inflater as it looks on the picture. When I received it the inflater was plastic. Over all, its a good vest.

Confidence builder

I bought this for my wife for a recent trip to the Caribbean. She was more confident when snorkeling using the vest and had no problems putting on, taking off or inflating. Because of this, she snorkeled more this trip than in the past.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I have used a few of these in my day. These are better than every single vest that was provides to me by a resort. So there you have it...these snorkel vests are better than the one you get at any five-star resort or by any company offering a scuba or snorkeling excusion.
