The simplest designs can stand the test of time. I have been free diving for 40 years. This is what free divers look for. Sturdy, slight smooth angle, and a mouth piece that you can rotate. I have used this for spearfishing, free diving, and even swimming laps in a pool. Very comfortable. Not gimmicky like other snorkels with their unnecessary purge valves, and other foolishness. I would also recommend using a real, soft snorkel keeper. Not the hard plastic types, which are restrictive and can break. It comes with a mask strap clip, but it is made of plastic. One time ab diving I had my mask down on my neck coming out of the surf and the snorkel got twisted and broke the plastic clip. I dove later with the same snorkel under my mask strap and and it worked fine. The snorkel is may main dive snorkel. Clips are restrictive in that you can only make horizontal and vertical adjustments, and not angular ones as with a traditional soft snorkel keeper, which are the best. Clips can break because they are rigid as well. I have been diving for 40 years, and teaching since 1981. I have tried all of the various styles out there. Some new designs work well. Great snorkel

I’ve used one of these for years and they are great. My preference is a simple snorkel I can put in my bc pocket when I don’t need it. They do not have purge valves or splash valves to break or dry out. They stay very flexible and always come back to their original shape. I just bought 2 for my kids to start their diving career.

Terrible

Mouth piece will pop off (break in half where the rubber meets the plastic) on quick ascents and the snorkel clip will not stay on your mask. Nearly lost it 3 times. I had to buy another clip from a local dive shop which does not fit the snorkel well. The fit in the mouth feels fine but nothing to write home about. This is a terribly made snorkel!

Excellent for Freediving, Unbreakable!

Perfect snorkel for free diving, super simple no thrills design, all you need for being underwater. I absolutely love that it is made of soft rubbery material, hence it bends easily and now I don't ever have to worry about breaking it! Because when I backpack the world packing a long plastic snorkel without breaking has always been a big concern. One nuance though, it does detach fairly easily, especially during the ascent, so I'd strongly recommend buying an extra rubber ring to hold your snorkel; otherwise you'll spend more time underwater trying to retrieve it from the bottom than to actually enjoy the scenery.

Decent snorkel

This is a great travel snorkel with a few problems for freedivers. 1 - it unclips from mask strap easily when swimming quickly under water (chasing a fish, dragging behind boat, or coming up quickly). The mouthpiece allows water to enter in the same situations. This is a great snorkel if you have to pack very lightly and cram it in a small bag. It is durable and can take some abuse. I have learned to hold it with a free hand (which is annoying) under certain circumstances so that I don't lose it.

Cressi Free Diving Corsica Snorkel

barrel is a bit small dia wise, poor molding of mouth piece, poor quality control- its ok but its nothing special. it had flashing inside mouthpiece and I had to dab silicone on outside to seal it just above m/piece where it had stuck in mold.
