The blade is constructed from a single thermoplastic elastomer with a layered design consisting of a sublayer and overlay. The sublayer runs across most of the blade with uniform thickness and integrates a flexible longitudinal propulsion wing. The overlay selectively reinforces this structure with varying thickness toward the tip, creating a progressive flex pattern. This design allows the spearfishing fin blade to store and release elastic energy efficiently, improving propulsion output.
