Cressi Matrix Mask Clear/Black

The mask was good. It fogged a little, but I think they all do. I was happy with the mask and with the snorkel we bought, both Cressi brand.

I just came back from a wonderful trip to Cozumel where I snorkeled multiple times from shore, and from a dive boat. The second day was very windy and choppy on the boat, but my mask was awesome! I never had leaks or any troubles. The person in the chat helped me find a mask that really fit my face correctly. I needed something slightly narrower than a standard mask. I highly recommend this Cressi mask! It was a game changer!

We purchased several new masks this year and this Cressi was easily our favorite. Amazingly, it fit everyone in the family equally well--big heads, small heads, big noses and small. We snorkeled every day for two weeks and it never fogged or leaked--even with the endless strap adjusting between family members. Everyone reached for it and honestly, it was hard to share. We realize we'll need to purchase more! We especially liked the storage box which doubled as a safe place for keys and phones on the beach/boat.

After nearly 4 years of abuse, my strap finely broke. This mask is so solid, I'm probably just going to buy another strap. This mask has probably gotten me through at least 250 dives so far. I use it for scuba and freediving. It's low enough volume that it can be used for freediving comfortably. The skirt is still supple, but it did start to turn a foggy about a year ago. Still a great mask for a great price.

Great mask, has been in heavy use for many years, dismantled once to fully clean and inspect and looks like new again. Fits well on both my face and my girlfriend's and provides a very large field of view. Fits more prominent noses than the cressi big-eyes masks. Tilted lenses provide good view of gauges and body-mounted accesories but can limit your view ahead when swimming horizontally where you have to strain a bit to see what's ahead of you. Also, some glare is visible in the top corners of the clear-skirted masks. For those with facial hair: this mask leaks on me below my nose if I have more than a day or two of stubble and is not usable for me with a beard, but as long as I shave it always seals great even if the top edge seal is interfered with by my hood. Strap adjustments are easy both on and off your head. The thin sides of the strap combined with the large 'net' like area at the back of the head make sure it always stays in place and the strap doesn't try to relocate your mask on your face.

When I finally decided to buy a new scuba mask……. and this time NOT a $25 generic, poorly fitting and poorly designed mask!!!.... I asked my girlfriend to let me try her Cressi Matrix mask. Well…..that's all it took to convince me not to look any further. The mask fits my face like a glove, the silicone skirt is ultra soft and water tight and the visibility is fantastic. With the combination of the above mentioned mask and a Blue Reef Tiara Flex Snorkel, I strongly believe that it does NOT get any better then that. Thanks Aaron for your excellent customer service! As usual, the shipping was LIGHTNING FAST!!!!!!!!!

This mask is perfect for narrow faces and the low volume allows great Viz. I have had this mask for about 3 years now and just got another. Good dive safe dive!

It never leaked during 8 days of snorkeling in Hawaii, in a mask what else can you hope for. It fogged up once in a while but no more or less than any other make I have used. All and all a real bargain at this price. If you have an average to narrow face you will not be disappointed.

I go snorkeling in the Keys, and wanted a mask that would give me the best visibility. I can't imagine using another mask. In fact I bought a second one as a backup.

I travel to the Florida Keys to snorkel, and this is absolutley the best mask I have ever owned. Very comfortable, light weight, with incredible visibility. I can't imagine using another mask.

The black silicone is great for underwater photography. The seal works well and fits medium to medium large faces without issue.

Very nice mask, buy black skirt only or on sunny days all you will see is an upside down V in the middle of your mask! "Glare" Also I have a small face and the Mares X does not fit well, it's too big! This mask fits well, does not leak and does not fog if you properly clean it with white Crest tooth paste. Not gel!

Get this mask in BLACK silicone. It is the best fit and comfort I have ever had in a mask. The Black Silicone is softer and better for spearfishing since it will eliminate shadows. Also the best for the money.

This mask is great for diving and snorkeling. It fogged a lot in the beginning, but has improved greatly. And it's very easy to clear!

I LOVE this masks!! It has an AWESOME downward range of vision! I bought another one for my dad and he can't say enough good things about it either!! Would definitely recommend!! ** About the fogging: I've found that whenever i purchase a new mask, if I use rub toothPASTE (not gel)in the lens that it removes a thin film (but doesnt scratch the lenses) and then it wont fog again!! There are many other home remedies for mask fogging also!

At first, I thought that the mask easily fogs but then I figured out that it was my fault. Fits great and feels great too. The raked lenses really make a difference.

I replaced my 4 window mask with this one due to the increased downward field of vision so that I can easily access my gear and see my camera and whatnot. I really am amazed at how much more I can see with this mask and it is very comfortable. My husband agrees and can see the difference but says this model feels too small for his face, he will try a different model with similar raked lenses. Also the price cannot be beat with Leisure pro.

I have two masks I carry regularly. The matrix is good, but does limit vision a little upwardly - compensated downwardly. It also sits awkwardly at the bridge of my nose at depth... good cut below the nose however. Overall my preference is for my Oceanic Shadow, especially in bright light snorkelling, but this is a good backup mask.

This is the 2nd Cressi Sub mask that I've owned, the first being the predecessor to Matrix - a mask called the Horizon. This is really a more refined version of the earlier Horizon. It's very lightweight, offers exceptional downward vision - which is great for cold water diving and night diving for BUGs, as you can see below your chin and view all of your BC and attached gear. The adjustable racket device is a nice touch for adjusting the strap, too.
