Be very careful with cutting the needed holes in them (the buckle slots are filled in so you have to cut out the ones that fit your leg size). I cut too deep accidentally and made of of the straps unusable.JOHN T : Yes. The Cressi Giant knife I received came with good quality rubber straps.
Shopper : Does the tank banger screw off to release the blade from the handle for easy cleaning?JOHN T : Yes. The tank banger butt cap has a small round drilled hole. If you’re unable to twist off the cap with your fingers, you can insert a small round Phillips into the hole to loosen the cap.GREG D : Interesting question and something I never thought about until now. I looked at the knife and there is a hole in the tank banger that the lanyard fits though it did not twist off using just my hand strength. I wasn't interested in removing it so I didn't try to insert a screw driver or other rod to give me more leverage, so I couldn't say that is can or can't be removed.

Great dive knife

This Cressi Giant Knife in beautiful. I love the feel of the handle. The fact that it has a built in hammer on it is not bad at all. The sheath holds the knife very well and the rubber straps will keep the knife close by. Would buy again.

Cressi Giant, not so giant

This knife is nice but not "GIANT", I have retro knives that are better and bigger. I also like my italian MAC knife alot more, but this is a nice salt water diving knife, and better than most of the plastic handled crap out there. Nice sheath system too. I like it alot but I don't love it, I will use it for shore snorkeling mostly in salt water.

Cuts through Lionfish like butter!

It cuts through Lionfish like butter! The knife itself and it’s holster are perfect, however, the holater straps require you to cut your own holes for the buckles to fit into (which is surprisingly difficult). Once the straps are sized appropriately to your body, you will have no other troubles from this knife. Invasive species beware!

The Cressi Giant Knife is a real knife for those who use their knife as a tool while underwater. If you're searching for rock scallops off the California coast, working underwater cleaning boat hulls or just a sport diver that likes the feel of a large knife when diving the Cressi Giant is the knife for you! The blade is made from Japanese 420 stainless steel with a black coating blade treatment for corrosion resistance and a great "stealthy look". Knife has large dimensions that make it particularly effective during use. Perfect as a work tool or for particularly intensive use. The blade has one side with a straight edge and the other side is partially serrated. This drop point tipped knife has a line cutter on the serrated side. A large ergonomically designed rubberized handle has finger grips and a blade guard for added safety. The full tang blade allows the knife to double as a pry bar. The blade length is 7.01" (17.8cm) with an overall knife length of 11.82" (30cm). Knife comes complete with a durable knife sheath with strap eyelets for fastening it to gear or the diver's leg with straps.
