for a beginner me and my kids chose this product for price and learning experiences. we love them!! we used them on vacation for snorkeling at the florida beaches and they worked well for us. my 15 yr old son and i had to get a size 7-8 in men sizes due to the fact that he wear a 9 in men shoes and myself wears a 9-10 in women shoes. my daughter is 9yrs old in a shoe size 2 and i was able to her the exact size in snorkel fins
