You may need a heavier duty suit if you plan on crawling around shipwrecks, rocks or in caves.

It can go as cold as you can personally handle with undergarments you choose based on temperature. A drysuit course is recommended. Not only for information like this, but to ensure you have the skills needed to dive a drysuit safely and proficiently.
RICHARD W : I'm shopping drysuits as a newbie.  Here's my dilemna:  I'm 6'02", but only 165#.  I have a 32" waist, but a 34+ inseam.  WTH size should I order that will allow me to wear an undergarment in cold water, but not be so blousy that I get blown away in current/surge?JOE S : A custom suit may be the best option for you. If you don't fit within the parameters of one of the BARE stock sizes comfortably or even borderline, then a custom suit is highly recommended. Undergarments are considered when building suits for a person falling within the sizing parameters and with building a suit.STEVEN M : Hello, if you are buying from Bare, I recommend their MLT (medium large tall) size. I’m 6”, 175 lb, 32” waist and 34” inseam. I can dive either their MT of MLT. The MLT is a bit long for me but right if you’re 6’2”. Pinnacle also has MLT size, but I prefer Bare. The Aqua Trek 1 is a good suit for general recreational diving. I use this suit exclusively for most fresh water dives. Probably have about 150 dives on it, and it has held up nicely. I also have Bare’s compressed neoprene suit which is super durable, but it’s more than what I need to recreational. Hope this helps.
Shopper : What level insulation free base layer ?Mario C : Ty Joe! below are the links. Dive dive dive !!JOE S : This is a base layer for moisture wicking and IR heat reflection purposes. Alone, this is only an enhancement layer and is only good for a base layer in warmer water. To add protection from cold water below 65-70 degrees for an average person, you would have to add a warmer thermal layer.

Great lightweight travel dry suit that can be used in most recreational applications

Very good suit. Well designed and good fit for the recreational diver. Having dove many times in the suit, I now prefer it over my compressed neoprene drysuit. Its lightweight, low on drag, easy to don and doff. Depending on what kind of diving you do, and what your requirements are, this suit is ideal for most recreational use. I've used it during the summer with shorts and t-shirt, and winter with heavier undergarments. Works great. My only suggestion would be for Bare to shift the exhaust valve a little further back on the arm. It sits a bit far forward. Not a real problem for the experienced diver.

Elastic at the back waist for better fit, M-PADz knee protection with 2mm neoprene backing provides added padding for comfort and suit includes compression resistant soft boots. The 2-needle felled seam construction increases seam integrity, is low profile and less prone to abrasion and finishes for a clean look. Flexible double taped reinforcement at critical wear seam points for added durability. Suit is available in multiple sizes and is black in color.
