It would be so ideal to get this and be able to wear over it!Laird M : You should be able to do that but you might want to invest in the 7mm Farmer Jane for 60 degree water.STEVE W : I suppose that would work depending on how snug your 5mm suit is. You wouldn't want this to be too tight but that isn't about the suit that's more about correct sizing. Assuming the fit is correct, this should add nice warmth. My wife really likes this suit.MELANIE S : Order at least one size larger, I ordered the "proper size" and it just fits over my 3mm farmer jane.JOHN B : Hi Joyce, I live and dive in MN where the water can be in the upper 50's regularly below the thermo. My daughter dives the cold mines with this one cause she gets 2X protection on her core from wearing the 7mm "Jane" over the 7mm "overalls" part. My guess, is that it might be a little difficult and restrictive to wear the top part over a 5mm full, especially the shoulders and sleeves. When I take groups out in 60F water, Id say a 7mm full, with hood, ice gloves, and boots is your best bet. For "freeze babies" like my daughter, a dive skin under the 7mm helps a lot too. If you are ever inclined to dive this temp a lot, or even colder, once you go dry, you will never go back to wet unless you are in the tropics. ;) Hope this helped some. What would you recommend?MELANIE S : It depends on how cold you get, but personal preference if I think I'm going to get cold I'd rather wear a 3mm full suit since I'd have better mobility and my whole body would be warmer. I use the 7mm shorty over a farmer john/jane for colder water diving.RUTH W : nasty stings, so be completely covered. At least a skin. BenjaminROBERT T : I can recommend the Leisure Pro Step-In 7mm wetsuit, I bought it for myself and didn't know it was a lady's model. It fits very well and does provide a lot of warmth. Just be careful of the sizing, like I said I didn't know it was a lady's model and I bought a small.STEVE W : Yes. This will do a good job keeping your core warm without the difficulties of suiting up into a full suit. This suit fits my wife well and keeps her warm in water temps similar to what you will experience in Baja.

Perfect For Cold Water Riverbodysurfing

I have already used it several times in a cold river to river body surf. After 37 years of practice and using a wet suit, I can lay about 15 to 20 minutes on and in a fast moving class 3 river hydrolic rapid balancing myself with a completely relaxed body. I consider this to be one of the ultimate water sensations and a lot of fun. I sometimes can almost relax and doze off on a fast moving bed of water. This wet suit has worked out wonderfully and appears to be as durable as the other 2 wet suits that I have worn out on the river rocks over the years. The zipping by the leg took a little getting used to, but once done a few times its easy. A little harder to get off than to put on, but putting on is very easy. The company did fast shipping and I am very satisfied with the purchase. Great value and would use this company again.

Good Value

I purchased this suit as an extra layer for the winter months. The fit is a little awkward, the chest measurement feels true but the arms are a little loose and the legs are a little tight. It all depends on your dimensions. The suit kept me warm and I did not feel the need to wear a hood like the rest of my dive buddies. This suit is buoyant as you would expect a 7mm to be. However, after getting down to depth, the air was pressed out of the suit and there were no buoyancy issues. This is a lot of suit for the price and a good buy in my opinion. I have not owned this suit long enough to comment on durability. It looks and feels like a quality product.

you get what you pay for

This is just a cheap wetsuit, expect nothing more and you wont be let down. I ordered a size too big and returned it no problem. Let me emphasize that I returned it and did not exchange it.
