Shopper : promotions?darrick c : Hello, this is currently on a 17% discount.
Shopper : What is the second piece? Does this include an upper over the shoulder coat?James W : I too purchase the cold water set. What I got was the long legged no sleeved farmer john with a jacket type shorty (long sleeve and shorts). It does cover the shoulders and has a collar that goes up to the neck. I have 130 dives in it and its still holding up! Its a very warm suit. I do not recommend this suit for warmer tropical waters, you will over heat! :) Hope this helpsRAYMOND N : You should ask leisure pro directly - the second piece would be a top like https://www.leisurepro.com/p-nspwjc/neosport-waterman-7mm-jacket?rfkref=productPage But I think you need to read carefully - for 105 you get the bottom piece for a 2 piece suit not both pieces.RAYMOND B : I purchased the cold water set (2 pc suit, gloves, boots and hood). The two piece suit includes what is basically a standard suit without the sleeves. The second piece is a long sleeved suit with legs that end around mid thigh. Combined, you get 14 mm insulation over the body core and 7mm coverage everywhere else.Matt S : The bottom piece is overalls. With velcro the top piece has a leg hole step thru and zipper. Good suit.
Bruce S : Does this suit provide any buoyancy?ROBERT P : No appreciable buoyancy. Suit really keeps you warm in cold water. I recommend it highly - no obvious signs of wear after 4 years of use.WILLIAM B : Yes, 7mm provide 10-15 lbs buoyancy depending on size of suit.DMITRIY S : Yes it does provide buoyancy
Shopper : I have a 32 waist, 44 chest, 5-10 1/2, 190lbs would you recommend a medium or a large? Also, the reviews talk about 2 pieces?? isn't this a one piece suit?LARRY Z : The Farmer John is a one piece suit that is an under layer to be worn with or without a Jacket depending on temp. The size I would get for your size would be a large.WILLIAM B : not sure about the sizing this is a 2 piece suit I have been very happy with mineRON C : I am 6, 1 210 lbs i got the xlrg and it just fits . if I were you I would get the Lrg also what you are looking at is just the JOHN like the picture, the other part is a long sleve for the arms and a shorts bottom that you pull on and zip up the side. This is a very warm suit , but makes you very boyuant .Got to add some weight. Also these suits after they get some age will shrink a little.earl w : I would go with a large and no this is only 1 of 2 parts of the suit. You can use just the farmer john bottom whitch is what is showen here, but to keep you warmer in cooler water you will need to buy the jacket too. same size as the bottom.JOHN T : Definitely L. I am 5-10, 32 waist, 42 chest, and 195. The L was definitely the right size and a great price for an entry level suit. If you are somewhere where you need a 7mm, you'll definitely want the jacket as well, just FYI.ERIC W : You can buy this suit as just the jonh (pants), just the jacket or both. Im not sure what you clicked. Im the same size as you and a large fits me perfect. a medium will be too small for you i can almost guarantee.DAVE S : Go for an XL - I am about your size and L was too small. Also get a two piece - a one piece in the thicker suits is too difficult to get on and off.
Eric C : I'm curious about how difficult it is getting this off and on. I would probably also use this for a triathlon, as well as diving, and wondered if it would be easy to take off in a race? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.BRANDON F : I don't know how this suit compares to others for ease of removal. It's definatly quicker to take off than put on. It's pretty bulky which is just fine for spearfishing around jetty rocks. Great suit for the price.MURRAY S : Too heavy for racing. You would overheat. I have been swimming in ocean races for over 30m years with and without wetsuits. Great suit for diving.BRIAN L : It is a great wet suite but is a bit of a struggle to get on and off, most wet suite are thoughMARVIN S : 7 mm is great for diving. Micht be a little balky getting it off for a tri. They come off by peeling inside out.JEFF D : Hi Eric the Neo Sport products I purchased are great. For me the Johns slips on easy and even wet they slide off easy. That is unlike other wetsuit I own that I have to fight to get on and even worse to get off. The johns are worm and comfortable the jacket is a little loose fitting for me, I probably need a smaller size.DAVE T : For a young and athletic guy getting out of the wetsuit should not be that much of a problem, however it is not an entirely "speedy" affair so if seconds count this one may not be the right choice. It is also not designed for speed and low water resistance. There is also no zipper at the ankle and I would expect that to be imperative when shedding during races unless you are wearing a high stretch type of fabric. We use these wetsuits for cold water marine construction work. They are thick, durable and good for medium/cold water heavy construction work and some personal protection as well. But I cannot imagine that one would ever race in this type of wetsuit. Usually racers would be using something very pliable and elastic like "Sharkskin" or similar that would really go on and come off quickly and due to its additional stretch properties much more easily, and would provide easier full-range movement during paddling and swimming. This wetsuit can be somewhat restricting due to its thickness and component design. For general diving where full range repetitive motion is not required (such as an overhand free-stroke like when swimming does) this suit is very good and would provide some extra protection during wreck and restricted or blackwater search dives or where corals, sharp debris, and sharp tree limbs might inflict injury to the diver. The suit is good for long term exposure in water from 60-45F degrees, but better in the warmer end of that scale unless you keep moving - like during construction work! For the triathlete I would go another direction because this suit will tire you. For the recreational diver or underwater search and rescue, and somewhat cold water diving, its perfect for the investment. We purchase large lots of these Cold Water Wetsuit Packages almost every other year or so, and they have been great. Our workers really like them even going so far as to purchasing extras for their own use. Waterside Construction DaveWILLIAM B : Eric I have the full suit and love it for diving in colder water I have never done a triathlon but unless it was cold water it would seem to me that 7mm may be too heavy It will also take a little longer to put on and remove then a thinner suitROBERT W : in diving you want a snug fit to reduce the amount of water circulating-in a triathlon your looking for thermal protection-the water flow is less of an issue. try it on -if you have a little room it should be easier to get off -when using it for diving add layers inside-chicken vest or some insulated wear

It definitely does the job on those colder dives.

These are warm and tight. I have this exact suit and I have over shore 130 dives on it and it has not broke down or tore. It definitely does the job on those colder dives.

Top notch customer service!

Top notch customer service! I originally ordered a size that was just a little too snug, so they let me exchange it. I went too sizes up and it’s much easier to get on and off. They responded to my emails and it was such an easy process. The suit was also well made. I haven’t had an opportunity to wear it in the water yet, but I can’t wait!

Great fit and flexible.

I have not used it yet. I loved the fit and that it was easy to move in. Very flexible. I think it will be perfect for the dock work that will need to be done. I would recommend it.

Warm & Comfy

This is my first 7mm, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it keeps me warm and is comfortable. I struggled to get the top part on, until I was told to zip the leg partway up before putting it on. I thought there was no way I'd get it on like that (I've got pretty thick thighs), but it totally worked, so that's the way to go here. I did have to go up a size in this 7mm over the size I wear in the same brand's 3mm.

Not for a tall man

I think I would have loved this wet suit if it had fit. I'm a tall, thin man at 6'3" and 175 lbs. I couldn't pull the thing on far enough to fasten the velcro shoulder strap. If you fit generic standardization you'll probably like it, but I had to return it. Excellent return policy btw.

Good for Price

USed with the Step-In jacket. Enjoy both. Use in colder waters (50's F). Keeps me warm. No issues and the price is worth it.

Cold diving and cold gear

I got a large pants and an XL jacket. I wear a 44 jacket and have huge biceps. I live in ohio and will be doing more cold water diving. Any colder than this and I am going dry, but for now this will be great.

alot of neoprene for the price, warm

great product especially for the price. Alot of Neoprene for the price. very warm. closed cell construction so it is a little less flexible than open cell but should last longer and is easy to get on and off w/o lube. knee "pads" are essencially just a sticker but who cares for the price and the shoulder straps have velcro at the top for adjusting, i think its not necessary and could be uncomfortable for some people but it wasnt for my gf

A little float

I have both the top and bottom of this suit and this review is for both together. Suit fits good and go's on easy. Warmth was really good. Need lots of extra weight and hopefully that will get better with a few dives compressing it.

Decent suit

Decent inexpensive suit. Comfortable, pretty warm. Seems very buoyant, had to use a lot more weight than planned. Hopefully will bouyancy will fade a bit after a few more dives. Looks to be very durable as well. Great for the occasional cold water dive or training at the quarry.

Great two for one buy

The step in design is easy to put on but you will need a buddy to remove. It is nice for chilly days when a full suite is too much.

Great Value

Customer service was very helpful and very understanding. Our return orders were processed very quickly. The only delay was shipping. It took 5-7 days shipping each way so transit time became a bit frustrating. But over-all we are still very happy with the purchase.

Good product for cool waters

I took a swim in 55-60F water in the jacket and found it quiet comfortable in the water. (The lake water is still to murky to dive in.) The jacket is XL but a little short for me; I am 6-0 to 6-1 so I guess I need an XL-long. Also, I have large thighs and the leg fit is really too snug for me to use a farmer john with it for me. The upper body fit was fine. Still, it is a good product for cool waters if you can get the fit right.

Poor fit for average women

I was dismayed by my experience with LeisurePro. I asked for fitting advice from customer service, but even with it the suit did not fit properly. Fit advice for my fins arrived after my order was on its way, five days after requesting help. The shipping and return shipping on a wetsuit that I couldn't use wiped out $30 of what I saved through the company.

High quality, great price!

By Fish W.

This step-in 7mm jacket is part of a two-piece farmer john wetsuit. Both pieces fit me well, even with my exaggerated belly. The Neosport line of low-cost wetsuits are well worth their money in quality and value. For the price of a few rentals you can own a suit that serves you for many years. I don't believe that you can find them priced better than at Leisure Pro.
