Well, my mother-in-law hasn't opened the pool yet so I'll have to wait on judging accuracy.

I have only shot it about 10 times and the wishbone now detaches from the band on almost every shot. Sometimes completely and sinks to the bottom. Huge pain to reattach it after every shot now

Initial thoughts: I am new to spearfishing and this is my first speargun. First thing I noticed right out of the box is that the gun is made of plastic and looks/feels cheap. Second, the speartip is pretty sharp. First 5 minutes: Due to this being my first ever speargun, I had no idea how hard it was to load the gun! The rubberband is extremely strong. I bought the shortest gun (35 cm) because I like small things, but I recommend a longer shaft because the rubberband, when I load it, is so close to my body when I brace it against my stomach, that I don't get enough leverage. Two hands are definitely needed to load. A longer gun would be much easier to load. I also am worried that the plastic handle will break- it feels like it cannot withstand being braced against my stomach in order to load it. Also the plastic handle is very slippery so it is difficult to brace against my stomach to begin with because it keeps slipping off. Using it in action: The gun is very easy to understand and the safety is very obviously positioned. It works as intended. The line is short, only 5 ft, so the total reach is about 7 ft including the 2-ft spear. The line also gets tangled easily, so it may become a problem when trying to fire and it gets caught. First shot and I caught a cabezon. Easy, quick, strong, effective! Worked just as I had hoped, but now the loading part underwater was difficult. It was already hard on land. Also, first shot, and it hit the rock on the other side of the fish and the tip was quite severely. I think this is normal for spearguns though. Strong speargun that packs a huge punch. Short range, and hard to load. It's like something that is so strong, it can't handle its own strength, a glass cannon, because the plastic part really feels quite weak and light. For novelty, this is AMAZING. I love small things, and this is the shortest out there. 35 cm, 13.8 inches. I will update this if the handle breaks when I'm trying to set it. Includes: gun, spear, line, rubberband. Ready to use straight out of the box.

The Beuchat Espadon Speargun is a tough, lightweight band gun, ideal for entry level spear fishers. The short lengths make it perfect for use around reefs, rocks and in low visibility environments. The gun has a 25mm (0.98") anodized aluminum barrel, pistol grip style handle and a closed muzzle design. Gun comes equipped with a 7mm (0.28") diameter galvanized threaded steel shaft that accepts a variety of spear tips and comes with a single barbed 8mm (0.3") tip. The gun is powered by a screw-fixed 13mm (0.5") circular power band with a V-shaped stainless-steel wishbone. The gun also includes a 2mm (0.8") braided polyamide line attached to the spear for easy retrieval once it leaves the gun barrel. The gun is available in length of 35cm to 50cm (13.8" to 29.5").
