The weather & surf was bad due to the Yutu cyclone. In 3 weeks the dive boats on Maui often cancelled due to conditions & bad viz. Only got 2 boat dives in. That said, my wife & I both have new Atomic ST! regulators & they are not only convenient (plenty of ports for your regulator, inflator & octopus) but very comfortable with the built in swivel at the 2nd stage.

You can read about the engineering and innovation that went into Atomics products all day long. Once you get the ST1 in your hands and use it for the first time, you feel like your investment was worth every penny. Its nice to make a deep dive and not think about breathing or the comfort of your regulator. After you try the comfort swivel once, youll never go back! When you get below 100 feet, you might flood your mask by smiling after you realize how easily youre breathing. When you finally come out of the salt bath and rinse off your gear, youll appreciate the sold stainless steel first stage and all of the titanium in the ST1 second stage. When youre underwater, youre on life support. Having said that (if your like me) you want the BEST! If youre considering the T2X, you can save money with the ST1 and still have that same peace of mind. Either way, you cant go wrong!

This regulator with the pivot head ball is awesome! Breathing is smooth; no tight, restricted flow at depth. the ball articulation allows for a more comfortable fit; less pressure from the air hose pulling on the mouthpiece. Materials are top notch. * Beware the swivel head articulation! It can pivot upwards and free-flow, when you're on the surface, if you don't have a retractable vest cord-caddy attached to it.

Effortless, easy, comfortable, reliable, quality. Very glad that I bought this. I had to swap the mouthpiece out b/c while it's goo quality, it's a front-of-the-mouth (short) mouthpiece and I didn't feel like I was getting enough air. Would recommend this to anyone.
