Joseph V : how do I know what size to order?JOE S : Masks are funny. They all fit a bit differently and it depends on the size and shape of your face.
Shopper : What is the difference between the medium and standard?JOE S : Different size skirts for a smaller or larger fit.
LEO E : I have an original Atomic Frameless Mask which is too narrow for me. It measures 6 5/8" wide. How wide is the Frameless-2 size large? (I recognize that this is a terrible way to fit masks but I need to have some idea how much bigger the large size is.)RICH K : My Frameless-2 large mask is the same 6 5/8".KERRY M : While I don’t have the exact measurements, the Frameless-2 fits my large, round face very well. Most masks are too small and was very happy to find that the Frameless-2 was large enough for me.

It it fits, you will love it.

This mask isn't for everyone, because it didn't fit my face at all and leaked terribly. However, my wife LOVES this mask. She refuses to dive with anything else. She loves the field of view and comfort on her face.

My favorite mask.

This mask was mentioned in an article about masks that work well with wide faces and mustaches. So I picked one up and so far I've been pleased with it. It seals well on my 1/4" of upper lip and there is no need to use grease on my mustache. It's a low volume mask so very easy to clear. In water under 50F, I get some fogging even with treatment, but it's easy to flood and clear so it doesn't bother me. A little pricey.

One of the top masks in single panr mask

Used to wear Holis m1 for 2yrs and still had fogging problem. Thought all the single pane mask have fogging problem but this one changes that idea. Super comfotable and give me confident. So far best of the best in mask for me

Prefect, just get a different case

So good I got a spare. Great seal. Low volume. Comfortable. Needs a larger case. You have to squeeze and bend the seals to get it in the standard case.

Been diving since 1972, the view once you get in the ocean is amazing. Have a smaller face so did choose the medium and works like everything I have ever purchased from Leisure Pro. Perfect.

Best mask I have purchased

I love this mask. I purchased the standard clear. Great fit. The skirt is very soft. I am amazed at the field of vision I have with this mask. Did have to get use to the lower volume - need to equalize more frequently than my last mask. I purchased this as my backup mask because it has a small footprint. It has now become my primary mask. Leisure Pro as always was easy to do business with

Leaks bad

Purchased this mask for a trip to Mexico, really disappointed in the performance. Used it several times and it leaked badly every time. I purchased the large size, tried loosening and tightening and nothing seemed to work. Contacted Atomic when I returned and was told to send it in. They determined the mask was just fine (really?), And further advised me that the Frameless 2 model has difficulty maintaining a good seal, however the original Frameless seals very good (uh thanks). They did offer to pay the shipping to return it to me (uh thanks again). Lesson learned, don't buy Atomic unless you'd like a $140 paperweight. Won't purchase their products again.

Atomic Ultra Clear Frameless 2 Mask Review - Scuba Gear Reviews

This is absolutely the best mask I have ever owned/used. I think Ive gone thru about 5 masks over 30 years of diving. Im always looking for more horizontal field (remember flat masks reduce about 30 degrees of horizontal field away from your vision under water. You can test this out if you want to by measuring your field above water and then sinking into water and seeing how much you have to bring your arms in, in order to now see your finger tips. I love the feel and seal of this mask, the low volume getting it closer to the plane of the eye and then (because I want light), the clear silicone skirt helps with this. So, this is the last mask I will ever need. It is comfortable and less confining than other masks Ive used. I have a narrow PD, (pupillary distance - 61 mm) so getting the face plate closer to my eyes is very useful to me.

When you learned how to dive your instructor told you the most important part of choosing equipment was comfort and fit. When looking for a mask you also need a great field of vision well this mask was designed to meet those and more desirable qualities. The Atomic Aquatics Frameless-2 Masks give the diver the widest field of view in a single lens mask design. The mask skirt is made from high quality silicone rubber and has a low volume profile to add to the increased field of vision. Low volume also makes mask clearing easier due to less water needing to be displaced. Mask is equipped with easy squeeze-to-adjust buckles that are mounted behind the lens for a more hydrodynamic design.

The Atomic Aquatics Frameless-2 Mask is focused on fit, comfort and a wide field of vision with its large tempered glass lens and close-fitting skirt work in harmony to create perhaps the widest viewing angle of any frameless mask design. The lens shape was computer designed to maximize upward, downward and side-to-side vision. Because an external frame is not needed, the viewable area of the lens is optimized.

The Atomic Aquatics Frameless Mask offers a new standard feature never seen or seen through before in a diving mask. They call them ultra-clear lenses. What makes ultra-clear special? Did you ever notice that normal dive mask lenses have a green tint to the glass? To see this tint, put your existing mask up to a piece of white paper and see for yourself. The green tint you see is the result of iron impurities left over in lower quality float or window type glass. That green tint distorts true colors and blocks-out some of the light that reaches the eye.

Ultra-Clear is a new and exciting optical quality tempered glass with exceptional clarity and high light transmission, with no color distortion. The exceptionally high light transmittance and lack of distortion in the ultra-clear lens maximizes the light available for improved visual acuity, especially underwater in low light conditions, better vision, truer colors are what you get with Atomic Aquatics Ultra-Clear Lens. It has a double feathered edge skirt that provides an excellent seal on the diver's face with an easy-to-reach one-handed nose well for ear equalization. The wide split style mask strap increases the masks ability to conform to your face adding to its great sealing ability. The mask is available in multiple sizes to fit most divers' faces. The Atomic Aquatics Frameless Mask-2 comes in multiple color choices. Both sizes come with a clear silicone rubber mask skirt and strap. Mask also comes with a mask box for transport and storage.
