Does exactly what it’s supposed to. Doesn’t add any bulk, just a good noise maker to get your buddy’s attention. Annoying when someone keeps playing with it though.

Broke before I even was able to use it. Put it on tank. Took gear to the boat. DM pointed it out on the dock broken. There was no way to fix it because it’s rubber & broke flush along the ball. Bummer.

Bought 4 of these and 3 of 4 broke after approximately 5 dives. Breaks just inside the ball. The 4th one lasted our entire trip in Bonaire, approximately 20 dives. Might have been my approach of rolling it into the tank versus stretching and sliding over the tank.

Easy and simplistic tank banger. It allows any divemasters or others to not be distracted and is a great tool for you and dive buddies to communicate.

It works as expected, goes on tank, makes noise when pulled. Haven't had it long enough to evaluate it's long term durability, but it's cheap, reliable, and doesn't need air. It's not super loud, but decent for getting buddies attention at short distance.

Figured that it might only make 30 dives. Sure enough, rubber snapped in half right next to the ball. By chance, my dive partner found it on the ocean floor, somehow by luck. Now I too, was contributing to the ocean pollution problem, (Great)! Buy a "shaker" & attach it to your BCD.

We have been using these with our group for ten years. They provide enough noise to alert others in our group that we want their attention. We have needed to replace ours every 3 years. Very simple way to communicate within our group of usually four divers.

Dove with this for the first time and I was very disappointed. First off, the band is so tight that it is hard to pull the ball. The second and worst thing is that it hardly makes any noise. When you are out of the water, it seems pretty loud, but once you go under it is worthless. If your partner is more that a few feet away, you shouldn't even bother using it. I an yell louder underwater than this.

I really preferred the previous version of these (hollow rubber tubing with a cylindrical plastic 'banger'). The new version has a thick rubber band with a circular plastic banger. They are much more difficult to put on your tank and have a lot of resistance to pull away from the tank to use it. Keep the old model if you still have them (or put them on [...]for me!).

I mean...it's a tank banger! I highly recommend everyone have one of these...but ask your DM before you go under if he or she minds. I've found some that would prefer you only use them in an emergency because it can create some confusion about who is trying to get who's attention.
