A simple, basic, no-frills safety sausage/marker/ascent buoy. I added a lanyard to the bottom to allow attachment to a reel line or ballast weight. a very versatile tool at a good price.

Useless - doesn't have a valve; it's simply a long plastic bag

This is about the most useless thing I own, but can't really complain for the price. It's essentially an oddly shaped orange garbage bag. It will probably work on the surface of a calm lake but if you're trying to shoot an SMB or there is any wave action this isn't going to do you any good whatsoever.

Recently purchased this item & it's a long plastic ( think orange trash bag) only narrow, tubular in shape. At the end there's no seal but according to the instructions once inflated keep under water. So I guess it will be kept inflated. I'm not sure what to think. It wasn't worth it to return as shipping was free.

This works exceptionally well using your power inflator. It is open ended so make sure that there is no water inside the tube or it will not stand up. It is almost impossible to orally inflate especially in chopppy sea.Irecently got caught needing to use a more expensive one (rental gear) when the dive boat was a no-show on the pickup. The more expensive one was an oral inflate and it was quite a struggle on the choppy sea surface trying to get it to completely inflate. I will never go without the Aqua Safety sausage again. I was really missing it that day.

This tube is one of the tallest available, and yet it is among the most compact when not deployed. How? It's also made of some of the thinest (and cheapest) material. I've been using one of these tubes for 5 years now. I've deployed it a few times, and it's pretty simple. You can't use this as a lift bag. No one will be impressed with this piece of gear. If you just want a simple red tube, to stick up above the waves ...this is about as simple and cheap as it could get. This is fine for people who leave behind their bulky gear, or are afraid to lose their expensive gear. At least two of my friends have one of these tubes that they bought after seeing mine. This just a cheap plastic tube, but it does everything I wanted it to do.

Divers are all supposed to carry a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) Safety Sausage to comply with national dive safety standards. That nice, but your safety is important with or without standards, so the smart diver always carries a surface marker buoy on every dive. This inflatable bright-orange-color safety tube is easily seen by boats or from the air in an emergency situation. Tube inflates to 6.5' (198cm) tall. When not inflated it fits easily in BCD pocket ready when you need it. Easy to inflate with your 2'nd stage regulator through the open-end bottom. Made from durable plastic fabric for years of reliable service.
