I will say that my girlfriend goes through these about 1 per ever few dives, as they are extremely soft, and she bights through them (bites the wing off), which of course causes them not to stay in your mouth. If you have the thin zip ties, you could put it on a rental easily as long as they don't mind taking off the original. Bring as many zips as you plan on diving :) It fits my regulator fine so there shouldn't be a problem.

Great Mouthpiece for Smaller Mouths

I bought this for my teenage son. He had discomfort with a full size mouthpiece. This on fits nicety and does not make his jaw ache. We are very satisfied with this product and it is reasonably priced.
