mary S M : Does the tape separate with top peeling off leaving double sides sticky?Mario C : both sides are the same, not really sticky, it fuses to itself.
robert w : can this tape be used to patch lift bags < 200#?KEN H : This is self bonding/fusing silicone; i.e. it adheres to itself. Thus, it is used for wrapping things where it can be stretched tight and bonded to itself without needing a chemical adhesive; e.g. whipping rope ends, waterproof electrical connections, wrapping around tool handles for grip, patching water and hydraulic lines, etc. The Rescue Tape website has many more examples. What it will not do is adhere/bond to a flat surface that can not be wrapped. So it won't patch a hole in your lift bag.Karen D : Not likely -- Rescue tape sticks only to itself, not to other materials, and even then it sticks best when the tape has been stretched.
pam m : can you put this on underwater. as in an emergency fix for leaky hose?MARK E : No. If a hose begins to leak replace it.GARY P : I don't think it is designed to be carried under water for emergency repairs.JOSEPH C : You might be able too, but I wouldn't. I don't think you would get a good seal on the hose. If you have a leaky hose on the surface get it fixed. If it's underwater abort the dive and safely go to the surface. While this tape work very well on electrical I would not bet my life on it underwater on a pressurized air hose.
