Good construction, got the job done

Worked well. I used a 6x7 mm adapter to be able to use a spear point I already owned. Harvested my first two lionfish (they were delicious)

Good gear

The spear is excellent, the length, stiffness and band strength are all very well balanced. The tip is VERY sharp so this is not something for unexperienced fishermen nor children. Specifically built for lion fish etc. the barbs really hold the fish, so be sure to buy a quality fish bag /box because by necessity lion fish will not come off the spear easily.

Other uses

Use this to kill pests digging into and under the grass. Would be a perfect tool for this is the barbs were removed, otherwise stills does the job wonderfully.

This just works. It is as simple as it can get and has no problem going through lionfish and just about anything else you can get close to. Range isn't great, but it is a 36" spear designed specifically for lionfish. For that purpose, it lets you take lionfish back in cracks and crevices without having to get too close. Construction is durable, high quality.

This just works. It is as simple as it can get and has no problem going through lionfish and just about anything else you can get close to. Range isn't great, but it is a 36" spear designed specifically for lionfish. For that purpose, it lets you take lionfish back in cracks and crevices without having to get too close. Construction is durable, high quality.

Lionfish have become a plague to the Southeast US and the Caribbean. Our reefs are under attack and need help. The removal of Lionfish from these waters is part of the answer. Lionfish have piousness spins, but that poison does not affect the fishes' flesh. Matter of fact Lionfish is a great fish to eat! Light, flaky and very delicious. There are all kinds of recipes to cook them from fluffy battered, Bahamian fried, to South Pacific Grilled, heck you can also make Sushi, Taco's, jerky, and Lionfish Ceviche!
