Not familiar with this type of strapRICHARD S : You thread the strap through the same place where the original strap attaches to the mask and then back into the buckle that comes with the new strap. It's very simple once you see it. They hold the mask in place just fine and are easy for donning and doffing. I dive with a hood so I'm not sure how it works against hair although it's probably easier to slide over your head than a rubber strap.JEFF S : goes through the slot on the side of the mask, just like a normal strap, and attaches back to itself using Velcro, which is sewn to the Seascapes strap. We have three of these, and they have held up well and avoid problems related to hair getting ripped out when your mask is going on/off with a regular strap.GRANT W : The strap goes in the buckle on the mask just like the original strap. Kept loosening on me

Strap kept slipping and loosening. Went back to a slap-strap that has Velcro.

Poor Design

Strap too wide (especially sealed ends), making it very difficult to install on mask. Buckles slip easily and loosen. In just sliding my snorkel back, it pulled the strap completely off and was impractical to reinstall while in the water.
