Greg B : Is the lead sealed?ROD H : The website of the manufacturer does not state they are sealed nor does the provided datasheet. I would surmise from this they are not sealed. However, I have used mine at least half a dozen times and have yet to see any discoloration or running white color coming from them.

You then select the number of weights of that size (weight) you wish to purchase (in the box to the left of the "Add to Cart" button) The number is 1 by default but you can change that to purchase as many weights of that size (weight) you want and then click on the "Add to Cart" button. Clicking "Add to Cart" will display a pop-up window where you can view what you've put in the cart and the cost of those items. Verify that the cost equals the cost of each individual weight multiplied by how many of them you want to purchase.

Harold N : I'm thinking about these for a completely different purpose: basically, ready made lead shot bean bags. But it would help to know their physical dimensions, as they'll be replacing cast iron weights that take up too much room. Anyone know? particularly about the 4 lb. weight. Thanks,TERRY M : I think they're about 3x4", but was is really good about these type of weights is you can mold them to fit in the pouches.

Absolutely the BEST soft-weights

If it's possible to be in love with weight, then I'm in love with this brand of soft weights. They're so pliable and comfortable, you barely know they're there. Plus if you're the type of diver that uses a lot of weight, these work great because they don't take as much space as a typical soft weight. The lead pellets and bags are such that you can put all of the weight into the end of the pouch and the pouch will fold or scrunch down to a minimal size - leaving more room for more weights in your weight pockets. Most soft-weight pouches are rather firm and don't fold over or crumble/scrunch down well. These do. I truly cannot recommend these enough. They're great.

peferct for trim

I have used these weights for years now. Just remember to keep them in an easily accesible pocket in your luggage so that they are easy for TSA to get to. They will always examine these

Soft weights much preferred

I've replaced my standard webbing weight belt with a weight belt with pockets that I place these weights in. I find this arrangement much more comfortable than standard rigid lead weights.

Fabric not durable

These weights drain well and dry out fast - BUT the fabric will soon start leaking lead shot all over the place, especially if you do a lot of boat diving, due to the abrasion on the non-skid decks. Nylon cordura takes longer to drain and dry, but will hold up to wear and tear. Not very enviro-friendly to leave lead shot everywhere.

Just like the hard weights, Sea Pearls lead shot is manufactured from lead that has been reclaimed from car batteries. The reclaimed lead is melted down and supplemented with small amounts of other elements to enhance its properties. This new alloy is then used to create #5 lead shot. The shot is carefully measured and sewn into heavy-duty nylon mesh bags. Quick draining and drying design.

The most comfortable weights available, if you are placing them in weight pockets hanging from a belt or placing them in your quick-release weight integrated BCD you won't find a more comfortable weight type on the market. Soft outer material allows the thousands of lead shot balls to conform to your equipment or more important your body shape. If you have gotten bruises from hard weight resting on your hip bone these weights will eliminate that problem for you. Weight pockets have double needle stitched sewn seams for strength and prevention of lead shot loss. Each pouch has a tab loop for easy handling.
