Great! A lot more convenient than a regular mesh bag. It makes it easier corral the lobsters.

My husband wanted a lobster bag that closes with a velcro strap instead of a zipper and this is the only one I could find. The velcro straps had to be sewn together(by me)but all in all it's a good product I would buy it again. 54 lobsters in 2 weeks were in that bag!

Plastic flap that traps lobsters inside broke off as I was putting one in. No way to replace flap. Would not buy again.

Had to return, handle broken off and item showed prior use and grime on the frame. Returned over ten days ago for replacement, but have yet to receive or hear from Leasure Pro. Leaving for vacation in five days and will need to spend more money at some other store. Not happy at all

I used it on my first lobster dive and the little bastard I caught went right in and did not get out. I don't know what to compare it to because its the only bag I have used but all good

I bought this bag to replace an older steel jawed bag, that I had for over 10 years. The Bag shipped fast and arrived in time for opening day of regular lobster season. During the first dive, I had the handle attached to my gear. Lobster went in great. with the one way entry, I felt secure that the lobster would not escape, if i was to place more in the bag. The bottom zipper worked great. However on the second dive, the handle broke off and I found it on the top of the reef, 65 feet below. fortunately I recovered the bag. It may have had a week spot where the plastic handle was "welded" to the main body. I drilled holes and made a 550 cord handle. For the price, good deal compared to the same bags in the dive shops...

I have used this type of trap door system for years from various manufacturers, and is generally my first option for bug collection. It is easy to use, just jam the lobster in (tail first). Larger bugs can be a problem, as you may not be able to fit them in the opening, even if you roll them up...a good problem to have (bugs up to 6-7 lbs generally not a problem). This unit is also fairly streamlined, in that there is not much drag when swimming...with a few modifications. If you are crawling under rocks or in a cave sometimes the rigid top can be a hassle though. The other issue is that it is possible for small stuff to swim into the bag..I actually had this happen to me in a cave...had to sort the shorts out...as once they are in your bag you are in violation...even underwater. This bag needs a few modifications to be useful. First the plastic handle is useless, and is just waiting to break off...it will, so just cut it off. Just above where the flap is bonded to the tube, drill a small hole (~1/4") in the plastic tube make sure that you center this hole on the side where the flap is bonded to the tube, otherwise your hand will get stuck in the trap door...irritating. Now run a small length of parachute cord through this hole and attach a bronze trigger snap to this, this is how you will attach this to your BCD. To reduce drag, sew a "D" ring to the distal end of the bag by the zipper on the side that will be closest to your body. Zip tie another trigger snap to this "D" ring. Since I am left handed, I attach this lobster bag to my right side, the top trigger snap is secured to a ring on my right shoulder strap. The other trigger snap is secured to a loop on your weight belt or waist strap somewhere, this will keep the bag close to your body and reduce drag. The mesh bag is nice in that it minimizes water resistance, but a solid ballisti nylon panel that runs the length of the bag should be sewn on the side of the mesh bag that the flap is located, this makes it more difficult for a lobster to climb back up to the opening. Hope that this helps.

Works like you'd hope. This is made of good-quality netting, and heavy-gauge PVC. Should last a lifetime, give or take. Just don't forget to re-attach the velcro after emptying the bag into your cooler, before you head out on your next dive ;-) A great tip for using this around soft corals is to tuck the end of the bag into the opening, using the trap door as a clamp to hold it in place. This makes the whole affair far, far less bulky and greatly reduces your chance of harming delicate organisms on the reef. You'll of course need to extend it once you start to fill the bag with game.

REVIEWS I've had this bag for a while and was using it as a chum-bag which I hung off of the side of my boat with minced fish and it worked Great! However 2 weeks ago I took it on an open water hunt to a reef 14 miles offshore called "The Hump". I dropped in on a nurse shark to my right and a nice size Lobster (4lbs+) to my left. Out came the Green Stick, got him and found that I had to do quite a bit of fitting to get him Through the mouth of the bag. Two kicks and a bigger Lobster (6-8lbs) was basically just standing there in the open. Again, Green Stick, loop over tail, Got Him! Tried to bag him and the tail went on top of the trap and his body and legs couldn't fit so he just sat there like a baby in a pram. Down here in the Southern Caribbean we have the little bugs close to shore but when you go on the offshore reefs if you meet Lobesters; they are generally going to be BIG and usually just out appearantly Grazing (Hence the reason we call them Cows). When out this far we have very little interest in Lobsters under 3lbs. Loved the idea and was just trying out the (CHUM) bag as I recently ordered the " Lobster Inn Deluxe" (haven't collected it yet) however The opening appears to be the same size. Note to the manufactures: 1.) It would be great to have a model with a bigger opening. 2.) There are way more fishermen than divers. This product should be marketed as a Chum Bag, I've used it for years in this manner; pull the opening over my rod-holder-mounted mincer and mince bait remains and old fish into the bag then just hang it over the edge where it splashes in and out of the water and it keeps a steady flow of attraction going for an hour or so. I was once told that "advice may be free but someone's got to pay for the electricity so; "Commissions Accepted"! "SKY" (Ocean Hunter of the Islands)

I borrowed this lift bag in a deco class. This bag was rigid enough that it was very easy to carry and very predictable. I was also very impressed with the thick walls/ durable construction. I had ordered another lift bag due to the dump valve, but will order one of these just for deco.

This is the toughest lift bag I’ve used in the longest time. The seams are welded and stitched. I brought up the outboard of my boat with no problem in really rough water. The bag didn’t spill or list. It is compact enough to carry with me anytime. Good deal!

When hunting for lobster you soon find out that hanging on to everything (especially the lobster) is easier said than done. Anything that can give you an edge when hunting this delicacy will assure a better chance of bagging your limit. Secure your prize-winning lobster catch with this cleverly designed lobster bag. The Lobster Inn Bag is equipped with a sturdy, tapered PVC entry with trapdoor lid and handle. The handle allows for easy attachment of the bag to a clip or lanyard. Once you push the lobster past the integrated PVC trapdoor lid it automatically pops back in place closing the bag and deems escape impossible for your catch. The Lobster Inn Bag is large enough for a legal limit of lobster and is must have for your next hunt. The bag is made entirely out of mesh for easy water drainage and is fabricated with two easy lobster removal options:
1. A zippered enclosure at the base of the bag.
2. A hook and loop strip to secure the base of the bag.
