These were a replacement for my original pair of sea pearls that I bought 20 years ago. That pair is starting to have runs in the fabric. I did not want to be without a working pair as they make my dives so much more comfortable without having to combat floaty feet.

Purchased for scuba diving. Product comes in a pair; I purchased the 1.5 lb version per weight; total weight = 3 lb. My 5mm boots, combined with fins, provide quite a bit of buoyancy - and these great little ankle weights perfectly balance that effect. The weights feel soft on your leg (I have been wearing them over a wet suit). Even on long dives or surface swims, they do not cause any discomfort - and you might get an extra workout benefit. :) They are adjustable in size; so I have no problem fitting them on top of overlapping wet suit leg and boot. They dry fairly quickly - comparable to scuba soft weights (lead shot). The price is comparable to similar products out there. After one month of use, the stitching is holding up fine; the workmanship overall appears to be solid.

The build quality is excellent. I had an older Sea Pearls pair used over many years that slowly developed tears in the material. This model looks to be redesigned and the material feels much stronger, I anticipate it will last our my diving career!

Iwork with people of disabilities and diving. The ankle weights aren't used just for ankles. I can clip them on anywhere using BCD "D" rings to trim out a diver that needs trimed do to a missing limb and so forth. They can also be used of course to to add weight to the ankles of someone not wear fins.

Very happy with them. I had ordered a year ago the "refillable" ones that you fill with sand and those did not work out as I was losing the sand on the boat and in the water changing the weight. I found I could use 2 or 3 lbs instead of the 4 lbs I have and plan tdo buy them before my next trip.

I needed to improve my trim for removing Milfoil, an invasive plant in our lake. My BARE 5/4 wetsuit is quite buoyant in the legs. Add to that the challenge of diving in 10 ft with an aluminum tank, and you need to be spot on, or you do more harm than good. Adding the 1 lb weights made all the difference in the world. They are small and comfortable, adding just the right amount of control. I also found these to be great to take along as extra weight that can easily be passed off, and hung from D rings. In hindsight, I maybe should have gone for the 3 lb pair, but I am totally happy with these.

They spin around your ankles because the weight isn't distributed all around the strap.

This item is 7 inches by 1 3/4 inches without the straps. I got the 3.0 pound pair they are 1.5 pounds each weight. Still holding up great after 4 1/2 years.

Great product. Bought for freediving and suprisingly they even fit around my neck.Lead is being banned for sale for diving use in europe soon so this product in Europe will soon not be available to purchase locally.

these weights are perfect for dry suit diving. very easy to use, and the bright yellow helps to be seen. I dive a lot of quarries and these weights help in all aspects of diving.I would not recomend heavier weights, these are great at keeping your feet down without draging them down.

I bought the sea pearl weights for my wife. Her feet float and it really threw off her bouyancy. With the ankle weights, she's now able to control her bouyancy and now enjoys diving a lot! We bought the 1# for fresh water and 1.5# for salt water.
