Shopper : some say you can't spray silicone in to a regulator some say you can. under the product features it say this product work great for : Metal, plastic, rubber , and etc. Is that what make the regulator: metal, plastic etc. ? so can I spray silicone in to my regulator ?ADAM S : I would say that it probably depends on your regulator. I have an evironmentally sealed regulator so I don't worry about getting a little into it. It may be different with other regulators. The product feels a little greasy so it may be more likely to trap dust and sand inside the regulator. I used this on the outside to preserve the mouthpiece, the plastic, and rubber on the hoses.MILT R : I guess you could, but, why would you want to? This particular product is used for zippers, hinges, clasps, threaded connections and O rings seals. Best use on regulators is 1st stage yoke threads, any of the swivel joints and high/low pressure hose O ring thread-ins.CHARLES R : no iMARTIN C : I use that in my regulator without any problem and I think it help me to keep it working well, and also It looks better.JOE R : Silicone is an inert substance, it will not harm any material found in a regulator. In fact, if there are rubber or plastic parts, it will extend their life against saltwater corrosion.
