Being in my sixties my old wrist computer’s letters and numbers kept getting smaller and blurrier (At least that’s what I told my wife. I just wanted a new computer.). Saw this at a good price at LP and thought I would give it a try. Just finished a week trip in Cozumel and love it. The “light” mode is perfect with large letters and numbers, and I have all the data in front of me that I need during the dive with a lot more data available after I download to my PC. Screens are very configurable. Didn’t think the heart rate monitor would be something I would use, but very useful info (If my heart stops beating during a dive I want to be the first to know!). Great having one less hose in the way and all my data on one screen. Only negatives I would give it are that when you turn your air on you have to wait a while for it to register (Up to a minute), and as someone else said, during your Safety Stop if you happen to sink below 20 ft the 3 minute timer starts over when you reach 15 ft again. I had to pay way more attention to my depth during my Safety Stops, but we should. Good computer at a great price!

This is a great package - it gives you a big face which is customizable (slightly), a backlight, an easy-to-find compass and a hook to use to snap it to a retractor which is great to keep your hands free where it might get scratched. Very intuitive. Great value. The only downside is the IR interface to upload to the computer. but if that is not important to you or you don't mind paying the extra money to get the IR interface, then you should be all set.

I was looking to upgrade my old computer to something with a bigger screen, getting old, and air integration. Most everything I looked at was coming at over a $1k, a bit out the range I was will to spend until the price for this was dramatically reduced. The device has the hoseless AI, big screen and even a heart rate monitor. Not sure if I'll actually ever use the HRM but its there. This computer has the ability to grow as your skills grow, it can do tri-mix, deco, and has the ability to do predictive multi-gas, letting you know when to change gasses if tech diving. I have had no problems with mating the transmitter and computer so far, no loss of signal during dives. I also find that the remaining bottom time is pretty accurate. You do need to buy the infrared adapter or acquire an alternative to link to a computer and download your dives and do the updates for the PMG and HRM, this computer does not have blue tooth. I had one problem with purchase, the code for the HRM update had been left out of my box, but a few emails back and forth with leisure pro customer service got this solve and they got me the needed code. Pros: Tech dive grade computer for a cheap price. Compass...I dive in low viz all of the time and a compass is a must. Large screen that can be customized Hoseless AI Lots of info capture about your dive that you can review and learn from. Con: infrared download, can be a pain with windows 10, lots of solutions available on internet No color screen no blue tooth Not a fan of the band. So far no problems but doesn't seem the most secure. In conclusion this is more computer than most will ever need, but it sure is nice having all of the features.

I like the computer and the size is great for being highly visible underwater. My biggest issue is needing the IR doggle separately and the update itself. I was not able to get my computer to take the PMG and HR monitor update. I need to contact tech support to work through the issue but I’ve lost interest and ambition right now. For that price, things should be simple.

Easy to read and operate. As a cave diver, I like the hoseless psi display. This is one less task for me while spelunking. The price was economical too. However, I suggest making the heart rate monitor optional.

Very nice and easy to read. Occasionally loses contact with the transmitter pre-dive, but a quick re-sync fixes that. The data presented is clear and easy to understand.

Just bought this unit and put 20 dives on it in Roatan. Enough has been written already about this unit which is one reason i bought it. I am a long time uwatec user and this is the best unit so far from a usability standpoint. Large display for older eyes, lots of info easily accessible. I cant comment on the long term reliability having just bought it but it worked great right off. My only complaint is it doesn't record starting air and finishing air. It has a delta P but i would really want to see the start and end vs the delta. transponder worked really well, no disconnects or blips in transmission and the 20 dives and all the fiddling barely took 5% of the battery. so it should be good for 2-400 dives before needing a change. Haven't hooked it up to a PC yet but i think that should work well. At one point on the boat we were 9 with the same unit.... that tells you something right there.

Big screen and identifies all needed info at one glance. As an older diver, I need the most visible readouts possible. Instructions are like most computers - a little intimidating - until used and settings applied. Alarm systems are an appreciated help. Got this for Nitrox and and general diving.

Love this DC! Easy to read! 3 button function makes getting to a new screen in the middle of a dive so simple. The feedback throughout the dive makes timing the end of your dive automatic. Like that I can add a second transmitter to my buddy's tank for more info. Favorite feature is the RBT (remaining bottom time). Found predictions of time parameters based on air consumption to be VERY accurate. Able to select between five different MB levels.

I have tried many different computers for my 500+ dives. This is the best for this price range and I just love this computer. It's easy to read and understand. The only problem is, it looses the signal very often. So I had to install the transmitter to the left side on the first stage and it got little better. But it still looses the signal quite often so I have to put my left hand behind my head to be closer to the transmitter. If you are a recreational diver, this may not be a big problem, but I would not recommend this to a serious diver.

Bought this as the first real dive computers for my wife and me. We've been VERY happy with the performance underwater. The display is easy to read at all depths and the light makes it easy to read during night dives. We've got about 25 logged dives with these guys and are very happy.By far one of the best features of the device is the buddy air feature. We don't need to worry about asking each other our air supply anymore, instead it's always right there on our display next to our own air supply. It's made it a lot easier to do a healthy game of "Who can suck less air?".Unlike other people who have used this computer, we haven't had any problems with the computer losing our air signal. Despite this, we're still considering getting a small analog secondary pressure gauge. This takes away one of the major advantages of the device, one less hose. At least we can keep the secondary gauge velcroed somewhere that doesn't bother us.It has an adaptive algorithm to calculate your remaining bottom time based on your current air usage. However, sometimes it's very aggressive and can get quite annoying. Once it triggers it likes to keep on beeping at you until you make your safety stop. So, if you're down at 90 ft and happened to just make a spastic movement to look at that ray it might trigger the RBT alarm. But wait, you're going up to 30ft and calming down, now you've got another 10 minutes of bottom time to look around at 30ft and still make your safety stop. Luna don't care. It still is going to beep. It loves to beep. Always the beeping. In the end, however, I guess I'd rather be safe. The biggest annoyance of this is the syncing to a computer. It uses IrDA. IrDA was hot ten years ago, but now it's just old. Most computers don't have IrDA anymore and it's barely supported. ScubaPro sells an adapter you can use to sync. It's overpriced. Look for something that looks similar on [@] and you'll be fine for a third the price. I've also had luck with a cheap $5 adapter. If you're on a PC or Linux you should have no problem finding apps that work with this because it is supported by libdivecomputer. If you're on a Mac you should know that right now it is not supported and will not work. You can use jTrak on a Mac or boot into Parallels to sync the computer, but all the nice Mac dive logging software will not work. I'm docking a star because of the fact that is uses IrDA to sync and Uwatec's solution, JTrak, reminds me of using computers in 1996.

I've been diving for over 30 years and saw the evolution of dive gears. I've owned many computers and this is simply the best. The price was cheaper than my other computers with less features. This is one of the wisest investments I've ever made.

Very easy to read information. Buzzer is strong and alerts are clear for some reason I can't explain the transmitter loses the signal too often during dives. other than this, this is the best piece I have in my diving equipment.

My only negative about this computer is that I keep on getting a message that there is no signal for the amount of air. I could see this happening once or twice in a dive, but it happens about 10 or 12 times in a 50 minute dive. The signal comes back in about 5-10 seconds but it is still disconcerting. On one dive it went out 4 times in a 4 minute safety stop. Scuba Pro says this is normal. I got this computer because its wireless. If this keeps up I'll reconnect the hose for my air guage. Besides this I like this computer. It's easy to use and the display is large and easy to read with these old eyes.

This is a great computer. It´s certainly more on the expensive side, but if you´re looking for an easy to read, fully equipped, intuitive and reliable diving gear - this is a great option. The digital compass requires some practice and one should take some time to get used to all the functions, but once you get the hang of it, it´s pretty intuitive. The smarttrak software is great and the diving profile graphic analysis feature is like getting an instructor feedback everytime you review a dive! One negative point: being so complete it should already be capable of diving trimix. that´s why it doesn´t get a five!

Product functions just as I expected and desired. Not yet had the opportunity to test out on deep dives. Being a Professional Diver, Dive Master + Rescue Diver, the only thing that currently bothers me but then is a also Pro is the size Easy to read and obtain all information easily and wrist mounted. Taking up real estate on my arm can cause issues in some of the activities I may need to deal with. A Panicked diver or a Rescue Scenario could cause it to be in the way and get ripped off of my arm. This is not only an issue with this device but anything mounted to my arms. I still have with this model to change it out from being a wrist mounted device to one that can be mounted to a body cord, where many other wrist models cannot. At this point it is exceptional and I would recommend for an advanced /experienced diver.

I have own the Luna for a little over a year and I have nothing bad to say about. It is the best computer I have ever used. The digital compass is the best. It's unaffected by tilt. I can customize the dive screen to give me basic dive info or everything I ever wanted to know about my dive. I can say enough about this thing. If you buy it, you'll be very happy you did. Scuba Diving Magazine said the only thing it doesn't have is email and they were right!

This is really a great computer. It is simple to program, easy to read, even if you have "old" eyes, displays everything you want to know on a single screen. After using it for 8 dives, I wouldn't want to use another computer. Now the bad news. The strap developed a tear after 3 dives. I figured it was my fault--snagged it on something and ordered another one for a whopping [$]. Four dives later, on a new strap, it suddenly fell off my wrist (on the boat thankfully). I found another tear where the accordian expansions are. My fault? I don't think so. I think the rubber used in the straps is either too thin, old and cracked, or both. If you buy one of these, be prepared to invest in lots of straps. I am trying one more strap and then will look at alternative straps that might work. If I didn't love the computer so much, I'd think about getting rid of it, since I am worried that it might break underwater and I'd lose a very expensive piece of gear. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Offering a choice of display screens, an intuitive menu system, optional upgrades, & the bar-none best electronic compass around. The Galileo Luna has everything you need in a fully functional wrist-mount dive computer to maximize your underwater experience. This powerful dive computer handles nitrox mixes up to 100% O2, offers hose-less air-integration, & provides an enormous logbook that stores tons of useful data from each dive. Hose-less gas integration provides tank pressure, true remaining bottom time (RBT), & allows air consumption to be factored into the decompression calculation. Using the transmitter will give you vital information on air consumption & dive time remaining in respects to air-time remaining. Transmitter is easy to install to your 1'st stage regulator HP port. Transmitter is powered by a user replaceable CR2 lithium battery. When using the transmitter, you can link to a buddy's computer to monitor both yours & their air supply. Pressure display provides a pressure readout from 0 to 4,350 psi (300 bars). The ZHL8 ADT MB algorithm allows you to program a nitrox mix (21-100% O2) calculates true remaining bottom time & incorporates profile dependent intermediate stops (PDIS), both of which add additional layers of safety to diving. PDIS calculates an intermediate stop based on N2 loading, current & previous dives & breathing mixes for safer diving. Microbubble levels let you adjust the level of conservatism in the algorithm to match your experience level, age, & physical conditioning.
The Galileo Luna is surprisingly easy to use. Offering a choice of 3-primary screen configurations to suit your individual tastes, you navigate thru-the-system via 3-clearly marked control buttons. You can rotate the screen 180°, enabling computer to be worn w/control buttons on top or on bottom. The digital compass features an actual half-compass rose that can be used at a full 90° tilt, making it a true aid to underwater navigation. The Luna dive computer is the newest member of the Galileo family made by Uwatec. This state-of-the-art dive computer truly is a dive true bottom time calculator, a decompression dive planner, & a depth gauge, but it also offers features that simply make diving an even great sport to enjoy, such as a sleek design, a full-tilt compass w/bearing memory, an extra-large display for easy reading underwater, hose less gas integration, & the option for you to input your personal information (name, diver certificate number, emergency contact information, & so forth). The Luna's alarms & signals will keep you safe at depth; the compass will keep you heading true, & the user interface will enable you to enjoy your dive w/o worrying about fighting w/your computer while underwater.
The Galileo Luna Dive Computer is a wrist mount computer that is water activated so if you forget to turn it on manual it will still calculate all aspects of your dive profile once you hit the water. Computer is altitude adjustable to 13,300' (4,000m) w/full decompression & w/o decompression (gauge mode) at any altitude. Computer is powered by a user replaceable CR12600SE (SKU: AQUBY126) lithium 3-volt battery. The Luna also gives you wait to fly information, has a stopwatch function, depth alarm, battery alarm, & maximum depth rating for decompression calculations of 394' (120m). In gauge mode the Luna's maximum depth readout is 1,082' (330m). Computer is equipped w/back lighting for low light or night diving conditions.
Extra-large dot-matrix screen offers a choice of 3-display modes, allowing you to personalize the presentation of your data. Oil-filled technology allows for a slim display casing design that fits comfortably on the arm. Computer is also a timekeeper w/a quartz clock that gives time, date, & dive time display up to 999 minutes. Other features include current depth, maximum depth, choice of imperial or metric measurements, fresh or salt water, & a 100-hour logbook memory. Computer has 4-modes of air, nitrox, gauge, & free dive. With the optional (SKU: UTCSMID) SmartTRAK Infrared Device you can download your logged dives & download pictures w/a 100 bitmap images as a wreck map the diver can use to orient themselves. The Uwatec Galileo Luna Computer comes w/a comprehensive owner's manual.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: The customer will have to go tohttps://galileo.uwatec.com/ to do the update in order for the FREE HRM Belt to communicate with the Luna. They will need to purchase the IRDA (SKU# UTCSMID 05.050.001 - USB Smart IrDA Dongle) to do this.
The heart rate is an important indicator for arising stress. This has been known for a long time. The sports industry has reacted to this and is offering an array of products for ambitious athletes to analyze and evaluate their training. Whether a passionate recreational athlete, a professional marathon runner or a health-conscious retiree today a heart rate meter is almost a standard piece of equipment. So why not use this technology in diving as well? With the aid of a heart rate monitor you can keep an eye on the heartbeat underwater as well and are thereby able to make your dives even safer. By monitoring the heart rate, the workload can be better assessed, and the diver can react to heightened stress in a timely manner. Furthermore, by measuring the heart rate you can specifically train to increase your endurance in advance.
Since increased exertion while diving in deep water increases circulation and this in turn increases the nitrogen uptake, the heart rate can also be used to calculate decompression times even more accurately and make diving even safer. That's why the Scubapro computers don't just show depth, no-stop times and the decompression schedule but also continuously inform the underwater athlete about his or her own heart rate, i.e. his or her personal stress, which in turn is factored in when calculating other dive parameters. Exclusive to Scubapro dive computers, the heart rate monitor, jointly developed with Polar (world leader in the field of heart rate monitors), measures your heartbeat and skin temperature during the dive that can then be factored into the decompression calculation along with your workload. This results in safer diving because each diver is unique, and each dive location and situation are different. The HRM is also ideal for free divers, measuring heart rate and sounding an alarm if the heart rate drops below the set level. Heart Monitor Belt comes with an owner's manual.
Predictive Multi-Gas (PMG) Upgrade: The PMG feature allows the Galileo Luna to use up to three nitrox mixes (21-100% O2) during the dive, calculating the ascent schedule for all possible combinations of the programmed mixes. The outcome of the different decompression calculations can be shown on the screen in a dedicated deco summary screen.
