JOHN K : I'm a slender male with a medium to small head size. I purchased the Blue Reef Frameless mask based on input from a chat session. It's too wide (does not stay on my face when inhaling through my nose). My wife purchased the Cressi Eyes Evolution Crystal. It's about 1/2 inch narrower measuring the skirt from outer most edge to edge. It fits me much better. The problem is I prefer a frameless a one window design. Would the Sherwood Mako be a good fit?JOHN G : I would think you'd be fine with it. I'm an average sized guy but it's always hard to find a good fit with masks and sunglasses because, apparently, I have a relatively small head. I have loved the Mako frameless. WIth a good shave of the moustache area, no issues at all with seal. I can hold this one on with no strap via suction. Give it a shot. Hope this helps you!THOMAS B : I don't think so, because, have a rounder face and it fits me well. My wife has a longer, slender face and it does not fit herLUKE O : I would actually recommend the oceanic shadow for you. The mako should work fine but the rubber is harder and depending on how narrow your nose is it can be difficult plugging it fully to clear your ears. My wife has barrowed both masks from me and she likes the shadow better, except it's clear and she likes her black scuba pro. We both have really narrow faces. I might get the shadow in black for this season. I would also mention that the shadow has a much smaller volume so any little bit of water inside is uncomfortable and typically will sit in the nose area. It's also much easier to clear the water from the mako. The mako would be a 10 if they made it with the soft liquid silicone.HELEN J : This won't help you much but I have a fairly large and wide face and thought this mask would fit well. But it doesn't fit me very well and my cheap, conventional mask with two separate eye lenses fits much better. So I think this is definitely designed for a smaller and more angular face than mine..... I'm 5'3 and 110 lb female with a Med/Large sz head. Good luck!DENISE B : I have owned a Mako for three years. Takao K : Hello! I purchased this product at your store. A lens becomes fog even if it applies fog stop liquid. Is there how to make it not become fog?DAVID C : This mask is shipped with a protective film. The only way I could get it off was to burn it off. Use a lighter, you cannot leave the flame on the glass to long, and keep the flame away from the silicone. I had to do this several times.MICHAEL S : J have been using Sea Gold anti fog on this mask and it has worked well. Not sure what brand you are using, but perhaps a different brand might work better. This mask performs exactly like my others, so I don't believe that the mask itself is more prone to fogging. Best wishes!SANDRA F : This happens with any new mask. Clean the mask with toothpaste, scrubbing gently it on both sides and rinse thoroughly. You may have to do this several times, in order to remove residue that remains from the manufacturing process. Also, don't leave your mask in the sun between dives. And finally, some anti-fog products are better than others, so you might try your buddy's, or some baby shampoo. Good luck.MIKE K : Did you first use toothpaste to clean the mast inside? During manufacture a film is applied to inside of mask for protection and must be removed to prevent fogging. Use some toothpaste and throughly scrub the inside with it than rinse with warm water. Than rub on some anti fog and you should be good to go. Happy Diving!CYNTHIA A : I scrubbed mine numerous times before use, with SoftScrub, really working it in with my fingers, rinsing well., and scrubbing again. and again. Putting in sometime preparing, before you first use it , really pays off. I have had no issues with any de fogger i have used..It has been my favorite mask for years now, and i do a bunch of diving.. Hope this helps!

Not a replacement for the Mako mask

I purchased this mask with the hopes that it was a direct replacement of my excellent Mako Mask. Be warned, it is not. Mine leaked the first time and the side clips have plastic pins holding to the frame. I'm very disappointed in this product.

Good mask for the money

Made 4 dives in Cozumel and had no problems. This mask offers good visibility and is very comfortable fit. Used anti fog so there was no problem with fogging. Waiting to try it in the lakes in Minnesota.

Nice and good, but...

I 've too narrow or little face for this mask, but it isn't the first where I experienced that. So, it's a fantastic mask to anybody who has larger face/head like me.

Good for spare or extra mask

Good mask overall except for the fit around and under the nose area. The silicone skirt under the nose seemed stiff and the edge seemed to go straight into my skin like a shovel blade into dirt rather than laying flat against the skin like my other mask. The sides of the nose don't run as far back as my other mask and I had to push against the mask then pinch my nose to be able to clear. Good mask otherwise but I would recommend going someplace local and trying it on first.

Buying this product again

I have been using this mask for well over four years now and in the past year have been diving more than 3 times every week. This mask is durable and the most comfortable thing I have worn! The lenses are still perfect and even the strap has yet to waiver. This is a great product!

Bad luck i guess..

This must be case of individual bad luck, i see everyone is happy with theirs.. Mine leaks and fogs all the time, i may be a recreational freediver, but ive been doing it for over 20 years. This mask fogs, at least mine does.

Love this mask

In the past I used to snorkel a great deal. Because of my cheekbone structure, I never ever found a mask that didn't leak badly on me. I recently took up snorkeling again, and decided on this mask because of the silicone skirting. It fits great. I have to play around with it at first because of my moustache, but once I find the right spot, it does not leak one bit. I got the clear skirted mask, but then was concerned when one reviewer on another sight said too much sun light passed through and he couldn't see anything. I've used it on bright sunny days with no problems. If you buy the black skirt it won't even be a consideration. Leisure pro puts this mask on sale from time to time. I got it for half price, which was a real steal.

GREAT MASK

The Mako is a great mask, it's tough to beat specially at the sale price. It has a comfortable fit, and does not leak or fog (use de-fog). Good field of view. This is my 3rd black skirt, as my friends all seem to like this mask also.

The Sherwood Macco's unique sub-frame design gives you the stability, fit and durability of a traditional mask - with lighter, more comfortable fit. Frameless masks integrate the strap buckles into silicone rubber mask skirt, which is flexible and can result in a sloppy fit while diving. A virtual frameless mask, Mako integrates the buckles into a sub-frame to provide greater stability, a more secure fit. Adjustment of the strap is made easy with and Sherwood's unique Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) buckles system.
