Universal Underwater Flash for all digital cameras with auto exposure mode. Scuba divers know that a strobe is the most important accessory for sharp, colorful underwater images. Water absorbs the red and yellow light spectrum resulting in blueish pictures. The powerful SeaLife Digital PRO Flash makes the intense colors of coral and fish burst. The Digital Pro Flash offers a wide, balanced beam due to the included diffuser. Two flashes can be easily mounted to any camera. Includes SeaLife's SL9619 Flex-Connect adapter (mounted), can be used with any SeaLife Flex-Connect accessories. Deep, rich colors and reduces backscatter. Works with all brands of cameras that have up to 4 pre-flashes.

Auto mode automatically adjusts flash brightness for optimal image exposure. Variable power adjustment allows user to manually fine-tune flash brightness for desired effect and image exposure. Includes Flash Link optical cable and optical cable plug. Two Digital Flashes can be mounted to each side of camera. Depth rated to 200' (60m). 5 pre-flash cancellation settings. Effective underwater distance range up to 8' (2.5m). Approximately 100 flashes with 4 AA batteries (not included).

The flash guide number is 20/65 (meters/feet distance on land) at full power setting, and 1.5m/16.4 (m/ft distance on land) at low power. Power adjustment range: 8% to 100% (In Auto or Manual modes). Power switch is a magnetic switch with on, off and test functions. Coverage angle is 60 Degree horizontal x 50 Degree vertical (w/o diffuser) and 86 Degree horizontal x 70 Degree vertical (with SL9618 diffuser). Flash color temperature is 5700 Degree Kelvin. Recycle times are instant when power setting is less than 1/2 and 7 seconds recycle time at full power (fresh batteries). Flash has a watt seconds of 40 watts. Flash is positively buoyant, is made from rubber armored polycarbonate with 316-stainless steel hardware and is sealed with silicone O-rings and gaskets, no lube required. Flash weighs 21.5 oz. (612 g) without batteries, and measures (Dia. x Depth) 6.4" x 3.5" (16.3cm x 8.8cm). Also, included with the flash is a universal optical cable plug (SL96307) for Olympus, Nauticam and other brands. Comes with an instruction manual.

Having the proper lighting when taking underwater photographs is what makes or breaks the picture. The difference between a photo that is just blue and green and one that is vibrant in all colors depends on lighting. Once you descend below 15' to 20' (4.6m to 6.1m) you lose all red colors to the eye and your camera. The only way to bring them back out in your photos is with artificial light. So, a strobe or light is a must if you wish to take good colorful pictures or video underwater.
