Shimano Triton Graphite Level-Wind Reel

Can you walk and chew gum at the same time? Okay, that one was easy. But when trolling can you grab the rod, fight the fish and reel in your downriggers at the same time? Ah hah. That gets a little trickier. Sometimes it's not such a bad idea to have a level-wind feature on your down-rigging reels so all you have to think about is winding frantically. Nor does it hurt to have a solid, one-piece graphite frame, a large drag surface and star drag on the reel. And you can even use both reels for light saltwater applications. Overall, it just makes the whole process a lot less complicated. Down-rigging has its own special demands, and Shimano's Triton Level-Wind Reel surpasses them. The Triton's quick 4.3:1 gear ratio allows you to clear lines quicker, keep up with speeding fish easier, and work lures better. Additional features include: ball bearing drive, titanium drag system and strong, lightweight, 1-piece, graphite titanium construction. Non-corrosive stainless steel main and pinion gears.

The Anti-Rust Bearings (A-RB) These stainless steel ball bearings are specially treated to drastically increase the corrosion resistance of the bearings in high salinity environments. Shimano's Triton Level-Wind Reel has a star drag. Reel comes in two models depending on your fishing line needs. Both reels have a right retrieve, 14 lbs. (6.35 kg) drag, 1 ball bearing, and a recovery of 25" (63.5 cm) per turn. The Shimano Triton Reel features a cold-forged graphite frame and a Level Wind reel system that reduces drastic line angles for less friction and backlash. The spool is made of aluminum and has a manual clutch. This drag reel has barrel handle grips.

The Shimano Triton Reel also has a clicker that increases the tension on the free spool and a counter-balance handle that eliminates wobble. The Shimano Level Wind Reel System reduces drastic line angles while using the 3-position power grip when casting, trolling and live bait fishing. The first models monofilament line capacity is 14 lbs. (6.35 kg) test with a line length of 330' (302 meters). This reel weights 12.5 oz. (354.4 g). (7.7 kg) test with a line length of 350' (320 meters). This reel weights 13.2 oz. (374 g). Reel comes with an owner's manual.
