Scubapro Synergy 2 Mask Black/Silver/Black

First I bought a ClearVU which proved to be a poor choice then the shop (Moby Dick in Rotterdam) exchanged it to this model. This mask has a perfect size of volume so it's easy to clear yet doesn't get foggy. I just love the comfort strap. It has a fairly big space for the nose so it fits just fine (I never realized I had an irregular nose size). It's really useful that the strap has a snorkel holder too. It's only the skirt should be clear instead of blue.

I used the mask one time and the tempered glass in the mask shattered. I expected the high end Scubapro mask to be more durable and not fragile. I am one of those gold prospectors and there are lots and lots of rocks where I work in the river. When I was clearing one of the rocks it bounced off another rock and hit the mask. The glass didn’t scratch (which is what I thought might happen), but completely shattered. I spoke to one of the Scubapro reps about the glass in the mask and he said that it had shattered before when a diver dove face first and hit the water hard. Oh well... he said that mine was not covered by warranty...

I received my order 2 days ago. This was the first high end dive mask I had purchased and I was very excited to try the Scubapro mask at the river the next morning. The water temp was around a chilly 40 F and I was under water for about an hour. The mask worked well and I especially liked the ease of making adjustments to the mask and how it fit on my face. When I came up I set the mask on some rocks. I prospect for gold in the Northern California rivers. In clearing cobbles from my sluice one of them hit the mask and the glass in the mask shattered. It didn’t just crack or scratch the tempered glass - it shattered the glass. I thought the mask glass would be more durable for the cost. I called Scubapro and talked to one of their techs about my mask. He said that the mask glass has shattered before when people dive face first and hit the water hard. Anyway the mask feels good, but the glass in it is too fragile for my needs...

I bought this mask at Scuba Center Temecula my LDS. It has been the most comfortable and best fitting mask I have ever used in 15 years of diving. The ski goggle style strap is insanely comfortable. It is worth every penny. It is so comfortable I feel like I'm not wearing a mask. Any piece of gear that is so well fitted you forget your wearing it is a must.

I've been looking for a mask for a while that fits me until I found the Synergy 2. Looks like you are not wearing a mask, great visibility and fits perfectly without leaks. No more redness around the face after diving.

This is by far my favorite mask, It is extremely comfortable and has no leaks anywhere. The skirt on this mask makes it usable for almost anyone. The only downside is that it has a quick detachment button on the strap on both sides and can be bumped while adjusting your mask.

i work on the water as a rescue swimmer and also work underwater on boats. This mask was bought with the idea of being used for both jobs. The Synergy 2 has worked extremely well, both with wearing a helmet or with a hood. It seals well and if comfortable. I am sometimes in the water for several hours at a time and with my previous mask it would get uncomfortable. With this mask, I have actually forgotten that I have it on. Very good piece of kit and it is recommended highly.
