Works well, and is nuetrally buoyant with the weight attached. I do wish there was a better system to secure the end of the line between the spool and weight. Small hole to squeeze the line through especially if u try to do it in black water.

I saw a friend use these and after years of abuse they are still in good shape, Had to get me some too! I have seen other cheaper versions that are already broken after only a couple uses. Nicely bundles, clip easy to your BC

I have used these buoys for years. They are used for marking locations during search and recovery diving, to mark locations where something was last seen, or to signal distress by a diver. They have one disadvantage in that they will continue to unwind once they reach the surface due to a current or the wind. They have to be tied off with a half hitch to stay immediately over the top of what they are marking.

The product is well designed and sturdy. It is larger than i thought from the pictures but managable. its roughly 3" across and 7" tall little large but still able to fit into BC pockets and clip onto D-rings. boyancy is good doesnt effect overall boyancy while swimming.

This is a great little item that comes in handy to mark objects of intrest. The equal bouyancy it has when the little weight is attached is a plus, making in barely noticible when I clip it to a D ring or throw in into a BC pocket. I also use it to do circualar sweeps of the bottom starting from the anchor during periods of low vis salvage. Long story short it definitely found a place in my dive gear essentials.

Product easily attaches to divers BCD and can be deployed when the diver locates thier target, marking the exact area in which it was located. It also serves to allow other divers to follow the line to the primary diver to assist in whatever operation is undertaken

Great safety device within 100 feet. Good for marking areas where equipment may have been dropped or marking areas underwater that need to be seen from the surface.

This is easy to carry and easy to deploy. If you have every found something and wanted to mark it so you could return or mark the coordinates with gps from the surface, these are great.

Having a Pelican Marker with with is an essential element to any dive. It allows you to make a favorite spot or have a guide line for a controlled assent. I would recomend this product to anyone who wants to impove their diving experience. Also the pony bottle holder for the Zeagle LTD works perfectly as a place to store the float during a dive.

line is frayed at the end which attaches to clip = greatly reduced breaking strain... had to re splay it myself...

If something goes overboard the sooner, you mark the location the better the chances are that it can be recovered. Having a recovery marker handy and ready to deploy can give you the advantage you need to make the recovery happen. Pelican Marker recovery system the Pelican Float is a reusable buoy made of structural foamed resin and weighs only 16 oz. (453.6 g) includes over 100' (30.5 meters) of polyethylene 225 lbs. (102 kg) test line and a 6 oz. (170 g) non-drag dispatchable anchor. The Pelican Float is hi-visibility yellow in color with day-glow rings.
