Pelican 0450WD Mobile Tool Chest with Drawers

The U.S. Army tasked Pelican with building a mobile tool chest to house tools for its maintenance engineers. Rapid deployment to harsh environments is common; arriving with your tools intact and fully functional is mission critical. Over a two year period of intensive design, research and testing, Pelican Products built the world's toughest mobile tool chest for use by the U.S. Armed Services. Over 70 tests were required, including water submersion, extreme temperature tests and drop tests from five feet fully loaded. The 0450 passed all of them. This case stores and transports your expensive tool set and can be use in wet, dusty or dirty environments. Military grade is waterproof, dustproof, crushproof, has two built-in automatic pressure equalization valves; one for the top lid and a second for the main compartment and provides ample, easy-access storage space. Quick-access beneath the top lid gives you extra storage space, three unsealed pockets on the left side to store smaller items and trolley handle and wheel system for easy transport. Tool case has two-way carrying handles, heavy-duty double-throw butterfly latches, buttress hinges and the design allows secure, stacking of multiple units. Graduated deflector ribs prevent bumps and jolts when moving case.

The Mobile Tool Chest is made with an open-cell polycarbonate core and solid wall design making it strong and lightweight. It's also chemical and corrosion resistant, airtight, and crushproof. Case is equipped with tamper resistant stainless steel hardware and padlock protectors for ultimate security. Case has interior dimensions of 20.56" x 10.97" x 12.65" (52.22 cm x 27.86 cm x 32.13 cm) with a volume of 2,853 cubic inches (46.75 liters). This case has internal wheel and/or handle wells that will reduce usable area. The external dimensions are 23.95" x 14.75" x 17.95" (60.8 cm x 37.47 cm x 45.6 cm). The case weight when completely empty is 33 lbs. (14.97 kg) and with the draws is 41.5 lbs. (18.82 kg). The chest comes with 6 shallow draws measuring 20" x 10.5" x 1" (50.8 cm x 26.67 cm x 2.54 cm) 1 deep draw, measuring 20" x 10.5" x 3" (50.8 cm x 26.67 cm x 7.62 cm) and a top tray measuring 17.75" x 9.5" x 3" (45 cm x 24.1 cm x 7.62 cm).
