OTS Diver Recall/Hydrophone (DRS-100B). Complete system including the LL-98 speaker (transducer), hand held mic, batteries and charger. The DRS-100B Diver Recall/Hydrophone Systems is U.S. Navy Approved and used by Naval Special Warfare units, salvage divers, and recreational dive boats around the world. It is designed to alert all divers within range with either voice, a solid tone, or an intermittent tone. Topside personnel can also feed sound into the water (e.g., music, pre-recorded announcements) via a line-in connection located on the front panel. With the DRS-100B, you can recall free-swimming divers with a solid tone, intermittent tone, or voice transmissions. The underwater listeners need not wear any special diving equipment to hear. The DRS-100B also has a listen mode allowing the user to listen to marine and/or man-made noise. A record-out receptacle allows the user to connect the unit to a recorder. How do the divers hear? Sound is transmitted through the water omnidirectionally by an underwater transducer. The typical range is 1,640' (500m) but depends on the biological/ambient noise level. Divers within range listen using only their ears; no electronic equipment is necessary.
The system is portable and comes standard with a high-quality hand-held microphone, transducer with 25' (7.7m) of cable, rechargeable batteries, battery charger, and main electronic unit. The DRS-100B is a must for all diving operations! The DRS-100B has an input voltage of 24 VDC, input current of 7 amps maximum and an idle current of 75 mA. Audio power (PEP) recall & tone is 132 watts (in high power mode). Voice is adjustable up to 132 watts. Units' frequency response 500-4,000 Hz, recall oscillation rate 5 Hz and beam pattern is omnidirectional. Transducer is an anodized aluminum with a 9" (22.86cm) diameter and 6" (15.25cm) axial length. Fuse Type is 6 amps, slow-blow (use slow-blow fuse only). The DRS-100B has a low-battery LED that flashes at approximately 20 volts and its battery type is (2) 12-volt, 2.6 Ah maintenance free rechargeable cells in series. Battery life is 5 hours at 20% duty cycle (Recall/Tone mode), 3 hours nominal when using auxiliary input (medium volume). HSM-10 Microphone type is a push-to-talk, front panel and includes a hand-held with PTT. The unit measures (D x W x H) 10.0" x 14.0" x 4.7" (25.4cm x 35.6cm x 12cm) w/o cover, has a height of 6.5" (16.5cm) with cover and weighs 15 lbs. (6.6kg). A self-contained control module with a housing that is sturdy, resistant to marine corrosion, O-ring sealed, and constructed of lightweight materials. Included with the unit are a hand-held microphone with a push-to-talk button, two maintenance-free rechargeable batteries, an RCS-30 smart charger and owner's manual.
