Don't buy !!!!!!!!

Do not buy this product or any product from Oceanic. I bought this bc when they advertised that it could use dual tanks. I talked to Oceanic today and they said that it takes an adaptor to do that and they don't sell it anymore and suggested I buy a new Hollis bc. WTF. This bc is supposed to handle doubles and now they want me to buy a different bc. If you buy Oceanic good luck on it doing what they claim.

Good and Durable BCD

This is truly a great BCD. I've put more than 300 dives into mine in both warm and cold water and it has stood up well. It's wonderful for cold water because it has so much lift. I spent 3 months guiding with it every and the only thing that wore out were the handles on the weight pockets. Those broke eventually and I had to buy new pockets. All in all, a good BCD

Well worth the money.

Great piece of gear. Allows me to better control my position while on the sea floor or penetrating the interior of a wreck. Comfortable to wear and plenty of space in the pockets as well as D-rings are all over the place and let you clip gear to however you like to have it set up.

Oceanic Excursion BC one of the best BCD's I've ever owned!

Leisure Pro is awesome, while ordering online is never easy as far as sizes go, I'm 5' 9" 245 lbs. and a large fit me great. Leisure Pro replaced it two time until I got the right fit. The Oceanic Excursion BC is outstanding, I was worried since this was my first back inflate BCD. But it worked great, with the weight pockets and the trim pockets in the back it was the best. Outstanding product and outstanding product for the quality of BC that your getting.

Oceanic hits a home run

Love the Oceanic Excursion BC as my travel BC. Nice size pockets, weight pouches release easily, and it feels very spacious, yet not cumbersome at all

Over 200 dives

I love this bcd. If you are considering one and have only used a jacket style before then go rent a back inflate before you buy one. The only failing is the belly band buckle. It's plastic and I have broken two. They were right on with the repair but the second one broke too, so I replaced it with one that will not break.

Very impressive BC would highly recommend!

Got this as a replacement for an out of stock item and I cannot be happier. Got it fast and everything was as listed. Took it out less than week later and after having used jacket style BC's since being certified in 1989 I am very pleased with the switch to back inflate. As a spearfisherman the BC is all I have heard about. Simple but loaded with features and comfortable beyond expectation. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome BCD

New BCD after 15 years and so glad I chose the Oceanic Excursion BC!! Skinny: The overall design and versatility of the BCD exceeded my expectations. Plenty of rings for attachments, love the integrated weight pockets and trim pockets and the ease of use was excellent. I found the pockets to be plenty large enough for whatever and the dump valve locations were to my liking. At 6'2" 212, I found Large to fit well except the cumber bun is not too snug but it doesn't require me to return for a smaller size. I would highly recommend this BCD and was very pleased with the reduced pricing provided by Leisure Pro!! Order and shipment: Product was easy to order and arrived sooner than promised. I was also surprised to receive a message from the president of Leisure Pro offering appreciation for purchasing from his company. Very classy!! Highly recommend this BC and really like Leisure Pro

Great back inflated BCD

Rugged , Great BCD for ll condition of diving, Big pockets, Easy to handle , Few flaws is the right weight system does not clip as fast and you have to get the right position of the deflating mechanisum . However they are very minor stuff . Plenty of D rings, Plenty of storage , You will never use all the D rings but its great to have , BCD is priced well , Going to buy 2 more for my kids

Great BCD

Great BCD. I use for travel and local. I was looking for a back-inflate that was light enough to travel, but also had features for my local cold water dives( sometimes in Great Lakes wreck dives). This is the ONE. Plenty of lift when in 8/7 Henderson semi dry, and yet small enough to pack and works well with just dive skin. This has multiple attachment spots with durable metal rings. I did not want to sacrifice pockets, which is common in most travel BCs. These are big enough to keep needed items. I like this over the older Excursion 2 because of improved weight pockets and right shoulder dump valve. I like the integrated tank weight pockets and dumpable pockets. Allows for needed flexibility for varying weight configuration. Very comfortable shoulder straps and buckles. Great Zippers. So far appears very durable and able to withstand the rigors of heavy use. There are BCs that may be better for travel and some may be better for technical dives, but they would not be dual purpose for me. This is perfect balance in my opinion.

About Oceanic Excursion BC

EXPERT REVIEW by Andrew Moore, Scuba.com Store Manager in California

"I love this BCD because of all added features it comes with like the large number of D-rings, large shoulder straps with extra padding around the neck, and the larger shoulder buckles which makes them easy to find and unclip if your hands are cold. It carries plenty of weight for cold water diving but also works amazing if you're in the tropics and don't wear a wetsuit."

Good and Durable BCD

By Josh L.

Geared for adventure you glide through the water like a manta ray, air bladder tucked neatly behind you. Up- front, there's nothing but contoured harness straps and a couple of integrated weight pockets. You're uncluttered, unencumbered and looking good. Built tough for use in both recreational and technical diving, the excursion is extremely comfortable and stabile, the ultimate wing BC for the serious adventurer. Oceanic Excursion BCD has a patented fadeless 1600D Nylon BioFlex rear inflation bladder that provides up to 58 lbs. (26.36 kg) of lift in size X-Large and above and 50 lbs. (22.73 kg) in sizes S, M and L with minimum drag when deflated.

The Excursion's streamlined harness with reinforced contoured shoulders, padded back pack with lumbar support and adjustable position sternum strap is designed for maximum comfort. The BCD comes with Oceanic's QLR3 integrated weight system and trim pockets with the QLR holding up to 26 lbs. (12kg) of hard or soft weight and the trim pockets having a capacity of 10 lbs. (5 kg). The BCD has generous zippered utility pockets for all of your accessory needs. Pre-Bent welded stainless-steel D-rings, integrated instrument retractor mount (retractor not included, see SKU: OCNBCR) and Spinner Knife (see SKU: OCNKSP) mounting grommets.

The Oceanic Excursion has torso adjustable shoulder straps. The shoulder straps, waist strap and sternum strap all come equipped with squeeze-style" quick-release buckles for easy of donning and doffing. The BCD also comes standard with Oceanic's patented adjustable depth compensating cummerbund. The BCD's bladder retains its low-profile with integrated bungees. BCD comes equipped with Oceanic's Alliance integrated inflator. Ergonomically designed to be functional and easy-to-use in any dive position, the Alliance integrated inflator provides a full-range of airway exhaust/inflation control. Simply press a button to produce-precise flow for trimming dive attitude or maximum flow for major-changes in buoyancy. A large exhaust valve creates a flow-rate higher than the inflation rate of the power inflator, improving diver control during ascents. To add to your buoyancy, control the Excursion has a right back pull-ball and left shoulder exhaust/overpressure relief valves. The Excursion comes with a 3/8" threaded low pressure quick-disconnect hose, is black in color, available in multiple sizes, and includes an owner's manual.
